As a happy JamUp XT user, I'm pretty excited about this.

JamUp is a pretty awesome late night/practice tool, so I'm stoked to see what improvements they've made. Amp creator, importable to JamUp.....no excuses anymore. YOU make the amp, so if it sucks you're the one to blame. Change preamp/power 'tubes', change 'iron', move mics, 'bias' the 'amp' hotter or colder, etc... Release date 11/13. Any of you guys stick with JamUp besides Dave or did everybody dump it?

After a couple months of use, I still really dig it....don't bother the neighbors, it's pretty intuitive/easy to use, sound clips are a breeze to record and export. Can only imagine how much better this is going to make it.

Is BIAS an iPad/iPhone app too or something for computer? Sorry if the video answered that question, I can't view it from a phone.

No problem.....it's an app for iPad that lets you 'build' your own 'amp' for use in JamUp.....everything from tubes to mic placement. Build it, set the bias, choose the tubes and transformer, mic it where it sounds best and then export to JamUp for riffing. Can't wait.

I've got it on my iPhone. Perfect app for late night jamming and great to hear about the new features.

I have an inexpensive set of noise canceling headphones from Sony that I use it with and it sounds fantastic through them. A lot more beef than with standard earbuds.

I still regularly use Jamup into GarageBand. It's definitely the best sounding modeler on the iPad. I'll be checking this out.

I've actually dropped by at friends' houses for after work jams, and all I had was an iRig Pro, the iPad, and a guitar. Into a decent PA/powered speaker, I'm pretty impressed. Jamup hangs with at least a POD HD, if you've got some good patches.

I picked up a couple pairs of Bose at Costco...noise canceling, both work great.

Couple new vids....one on changing tubes and one on the pre/post EQs:

I think this is gonna blow the modeling world away for cost and features.

Hey guys can the power amp and cabinets be turned off to use this as a preamp with a real tube power amp and cab, and also inversely used as power amp and cab for a preamp?

Can't find this anywhere, it's a deal breaker for me.

This is really neat! Will have to check it out at some point!

Thx for sharing!

:)

This sounds so good I'm considering selling my axe fx2.

I'm blown away I got bias for $12.99.

Guitar ->vht valvulator ->apogee jam ->vht 2150 ->2/12 guitar cab.

It is awesome through my vht 2150. Still wish I could solo the preamp section but I've found ways to work around that turning down the power amp distortion and sag parameters.

Considering BIAS and the fryette LXii as a complete rig.

I am just about to order the parts to build myself a four button footswitch to use with the airturn Bluetooth module, allowing live patch/effect changes.

NICE man...glad you're digging it. I was pretty shocked myself at how it sounded for what it cost; it only gets better when they release something new.

I haven't tried it thru anything but headphones, but am considering snagging a power amp/2x12 just for this stuff for home practice...it's versatile, doesn't sound like ONE amp, and all the effects are $5 a bundle. For a guy that goes between blues and metal this thing is a godsend.

So grabbed Audiobus to sync JamUp/BIAS to GarageBand.....this thing is amazing. Works EXACTLY like it's supposed to....and for a recording noob, GB is pretty cool. I can see some limitations, but nothing that's going to stop me.

Recorded a riff, doubled it and went L and R, one click to add some chorus/reverb, and put in into a 'small room' scene....it turned out MONSTROUS. Also, as a recording noob, I did all of this in about 5 minutes, which was pretty amazing to me.

These 3 apps together=massive fun.

Gonna snag Beatmaker2 soon; Derek Buddemeyer sells loops to throw into that app, like 600 at a time for about $10; the ones I've heard sound great. Fake a bass, and I should be able to do whole songs with minimal effort.....I'll throw up something just for posterity's sake so you guys can get an idea of the levels and stuff, after all is acquired.

Audiobus is very DEFINITELY worth the $5, and it works with a HUGE list of music creation apps. Check it out if you're into GarageBand at all, or if you're a recording newbie like this guy; it makes it a virtually painless process....definitely WAY easier than Reaper or Audacity.
