"bias rating" is really just tested tube output. without knowing the re-labeler/tester's system, you dont know if the tubes are in spec or out for their type.

Yes, that's been mentioned and why they all need to be from the same supplier to have any meaning at all.

need a standard tester...OR testing method. then u can compare apples n apples

I'll record a low and high number and we can see how different it is. Hang on I'll do it when I have a chance.

I got feedback from ARS today. They said they take the gain/mu rating from an apparatus they built!
Therefore, you'd need to get their tubes at various ratings, re-test them on you/a standard apparatus, and give what the "actual" ratings are and so you can order them from TubesAndMore...or wherever.

Dave has stated he will record some samples when he gets a chance.

Thanks

Hey Dave, when can we hear those clips at different ratings?!?!?

Yeah I need this too. I gotta update my BE100 tubes & would love some insight before I commit

Still waiting! Either way, I have another set of "58's" coming, so I hope they're not shit!!

pulling mine out of storage today, i know its still stock - will have the stock #'s posted by tonite - just to have more #'s out there

41 on the power tubes of my SS100. Dave have you got any available tubes for sale yet?

We'll have to see (hear) how they compare, but I hope a high-gain power tube isn't bad, because I have another set of "58"s coming!

Just got a brand new BE100 half stack, tubes were ARS (JJ) and all marked 55.
