Dont post here much. Read quite a bit. This 2 way battle of the hate and the love is great.
But seems the hate team is winning against the 2 guys that love the amp.

man the satch JVM will sound every bit as good as that. those other himmel clips were all post production and this cell phone clip proves it.

Now the JVM sounds "just as GOOD as a JVM Satch", hey thanks guys, Love Marshall, love the FIREBOLT. My friend sold the Satch JVM months back, he's chasing still….I told him to try the VENOM cause he wants lots of gain and bottom. And ShovelDan is "KING of SPAM". Cracks me up, all this post production bla bla bla…
Himell played the Friedman at GC after he bought the FIREBOLT, he smiled huge leaving GC NOT buying the Friedman BE100 as he KNEW he made the right decision. The rest is history….watch.

I still cant figure out who Mike Himmell is.

just go to youtube and look for that best amp in the world vid. himmel made it, and at one point he is rocking out, and he made it look like paparazzi are trying to take his picture, got a couple of his friends to act out the part of rabid photographer fighting to get his picture. the whole blades thing is over the top. I have never seen anything quite like it.

The video sounds great, but it is cheesy!!

We are supposed to care about what himmel bought? No one here gives a rats ass about what himmel bought and it is not our fault he has the bad taste to buy a blades over a friedman. that was a really bad decision on so many levels. for one try selling both and see which sells faster.
And actually the JVM is better than a firebolt in every imaginable way and i dont give a shit what some nobody blades amp owner has to say about it.

For the price.... I were to take a risk on a small time builder I'd probably buy one of these before I'd buy a Bladez. Better tone all the way around.

I would settle to hear the amp in high gain guitar volume up, middle range for less gain, and muting the guitar with all that gain up. One thing I notice is all the demos are of constant playing, not gaps, no space.

Cant "hear" the amp, just constant wanking but what i do hear is all compression with alot of hallmark amptone missing.

Just sounds like a bad dirt pedal with the controls dimed.

ShovelDan, your EPIC at…not much.

The only thing that needs a "shovel" around here is the load of shit that comes out the hole under your nose everytime you try to communicate.

I would spend more time in amp sales and less time making washed up 80's sweep picking demos.

If Billy did not act like a total jackass on almost every forum, I think most us would probably be pulling for him to be successful. Now that does not mean he is not a nice guy, but in the business world your reputation is pretty much the #1 important thing you have for marketing your product. If your reputation is questionable, then your business might suffer.

What's so great about it? No one here except for Rikk has played through the a Blades amplifier. If these guys want to rag Mr. Blades for comments made on various forums, that's fine. On the other hand, making false claims that his products are catching fire and electrocuting people is completely out of line! If someone does notice something that needs to be addressed, how about helping the guy out instead of bashing him. Gee, what a fucking concept! He's created jobs for two people (so far) who were previously unemployed... What's more American than that?

The fact that he's captured the attention of Michael Wagener, is an obvious indication that he's doing something right.

I am not racing out to buy a Blades amp but I am not gonna hate on the guy because he was a troll and a few people do not like him. I do not hold forum troll grudges even if it was directed to me, I get over it.

nothing could be more true, your reputation is everything. if you blow it, you are screwed, look at blades. he went out of his way to rip guys like friedman, bogner, fortin, etc. he had no beef with those guys, but he just threw them in with Cameron (who he says took an amp and money but Cameron says he never got an amp from him???) you see a guy like this saying friedman, bogner, fortin, and Cameron are talentless design thieves, and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. these guys are highly respected and innovative guys, except Cameron, but he is talented, no doubt about it. look at friedman and all the amps he has designed, the be100, smallbox, jj100, steve stevens, the dirty Shirley, pink taco, etc. this is not a guy who just copied the jose mod and just put it in different amp using different names. the same goes for fortin, bogner and cameron. there is a reason billy was booted off all the forums, and not for the reason he says, that he was exposing the jose mod secret, that friedman, Cameron, rockstah, fortin and bogner all had a secret alliance and monopoly going on, gimme a break!!!

What's really ironic is some guys on here commenting on how it's wrong for Blades to "rip off" other amp designs but will give a huge congrats to a guy who posts pics of a Bartlett or a Gill Yaron he just bought.

you forgot to mention how he also dissed jim at scumback and quite a few others, not just amp builders. he burned so many bridges that there is no way he will last in the biz

I've worked with others in my field who are practically worthless when it comes to repairs, yet they're able to keep their job because they are excellent at the art of diplomacy. On the other hand... I've worked with techs who are a good as I am, yet customers don't want them on their property due to their negativity. People are extremely perceptive! To treat them otherwise is an insult to their intelligence, and an attack on their dignity.

As a businessman, if he continues to respond as he has in the past... The best thing Billy can do for himself and his company... Stay off the internet!

I agree, his amps DO sound really good but 98% of people wont bother with him due to his internet rants and rep.
The Mike himmel endorsement is a real good one so that was a smart move.
Now he needs a PR man to talk about the amps.
One thing is it "MAY" be too late for him? These other builders/sellers he has dissed are out there talking to pro's and if his name does come up i cant see them giving him a positive reference
I am not really positive how tarnished his rep is as a whole but i agree he needs to leave the talking to others,

The sad thing is, nobody or few on this thread, personally know eachother, Maybe CharvelDan is a good guy. Or others trying to verbally hurt one another. I can admit..... if half of us all sat around face to face, had a beer and chatted for awhile, a majority would say 'what was I thinking to "judge" or just get angry" 'You guys are cool".
This world today LACKS forgiveness, empathy and just not much positive energy anymore, it sure dosent exist here on RigTalk, people on Facebook now call this website "ShitTalk".
I remember when I first saw this website years back, thought it was GREAT and informative, we are all Tone lover's.
Don't know what else to say, but you can bash me, or agree, I say its easy to start getting "angy" and vengeful" to attack back, but man, hope everyone finds the gear and tone they love, room for so many amps, pedals, guitars.
