Don't go over to Seven String Dot fucking Org and ask about Blackmachine guitars. You'll get spanked and have your thread locked up tighter than a fishes ass! The moderators must have gotten sand in their mangina and some severe butt hurt. Talk about Ibanez all you like though....

I was genuinely interested in who was getting one out of this years batch.

the moderators there are the worst. they have such power trips its hilarious.

Unlikely that many people will get any this year. Daemoness are a better option!

I heard Dylan's delivery time is all the way out to 28 months. I may be dead by then!

Do like his work though. His inlay work is fantastic.

Don't quote me on it, but I think I just saw it on TGP or maybe the Daemoness FB page.

Cool guy though. I like the response he gave to Britany Spears' guitar player who was sniffing around for a free ride.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the interest in my guitars. I don’t know if your aware of this but guys who are into metal hate pop music. The reason we hate it is that it is the soundtrack to the society that metal rebels against. Rampant commercialism of the human soul, vapid obsession with the self, almost non existant attention spans (who’s No1 this week?), detestable senses of entitlement (“I wanna be a billionaire, sooo freakin’ bad..” Bruno Mars). The list goes on. Most pop music that airs these days, typically documents human behaviours that occur at the end of a civilisation. [SIC]

Let us for a minute juxtapose these multitudes of sin with the entirely more socially concerned and responsible attitudes that inspire metal musicians. Metal sees the bigger picture. We see a story of mankind. We see the journey to modern thought. We see history, and the progression of ideas and actions. We see the failure of the human ego when granted power. We see foolish, wise, brave, cowardly, strong and weak people. The main thrust of metals philosophical message is that there is a possibility that the world could end as mankind continues to wail on towards its own self made destruction. For someone born behind the iron curtain Alex, I thought these themes would really resonate with you. But apparently you would rather work with Britney Spears. Please correct me if I’m wrong. I would love to hear that I am wrong about you because then I would know that one more extra person is as concerned for mankind as I am. But, as things stand, I cannot endorse you. I cannot even sell you a guitar.

To be honest... the majority of the "metal scene" is just as bad as the pop scene it so derides. I have never met a subculture with a greater sense of false entitlement or hubristic belief in its superiority than tr00 metalheads. Like what you like and be open-minded.

I didn't even realize Britany needed a guitar player....

You should watch the video of Rihanna singing a song called rockstar..she basically keeps saying "I'm a rock star for 3 minutes with a bc rich or something around her neck fake strumming the entire time and then at the end nuno bettencourt shreds out a face melter while she continues to recite "I'm a rock star"

Sad and ironic all at the same time...I had to see it to believe it because the concept of someone like nuno playing for Rihanna just "did not compute"

Major props to this guy though for having integrity, probably not the wisest business move and it could be his "metal" ego but its something to put this out there

Dylan is a really down to Earth guy, and a deep thinker, which shows in his work. They guy is a true artist, and everything he does, he pours himself into. Every time I've had communication with him, he has been most sincere. Not your average builder. I will have one of his builds in the future for sure.

I see nothing wrong with his response. Some douche of a "touring" guitarist with a lip-synching has-been, emails a guy like Dylan for a free ride endorsement.....yeah, right!

Absolutely. Looking over his gallery myself.

Where'd you put the thread? Is it gone already? As far as who's on the list, didn't Zack say he had a build slot for this year?

Shit. It was there and locked. Looks like they deleted it. Got to make room to talk about 10,000 different colors and models of Ibanez and Carvin NGD's.....

Seems the mods have some sand in their snatch about Blackmachine.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to defend spears' guitarist. I just immediately thought of all the manufacturers out there who would use this as an opportunity to show how the "pros are using their gear" (whether its accurate or not and certainly not saying this guitar player is good at what he does, ive never heard of him), but I'm glad Dylan has enough orders in hand to write on his site that its not possible to order at this time...that's a good spot to be in

I know what you are saying

I believe he is just a one-man shop too. He's probably got all the business he cares to handle. Don't know though. But, it's good to see a guy have a bit of backbone over profit. Rare this day and age.

Having owned both, I disagree. Don't get me wrong, Dylan makes a fantastic guitar but the b6 I had for a bit was better quality wise and tonally. In fact the b6 and Daemoness both have the same wood combination too; swamp ash bodies with maple necks.

You cant go wrong with either and I think you get a lot more bang for buck with Dylan though. He is a very nice guy too, I messaged him saying what a great guitar the daemoness that I picked up is (got it second-hand) and he offered to give me advice if I ever need it via phone/messages/etc...

Also about the mods on SSO...I think they just have to play fast and hard because there are only like 3-4 active ones and a huge amount of members now.

The admin himself on SSO is a very busy guy but extremely friendly if you get a chance to talk to him.
