ya but he has sold over 100 amps. The one that was forsale was #77. So hes selling and delivering amps?

His amps DO sound good, i never said they did not but i dont care for his business ethics or the way he bashed/told rumors about major amp makers like Dave friedman and some others.
I personally would never pay $2500 for one of his amps but i heard guys like mike himmel make them sound really good.
I Hate the cosmetics of his heads, looks childish and gaudy

The clips sound great, but he's an idiot. But who's worse ? Blades for being an asshole, or IMO Mark Cameron who actually ripped people off for a shitload of money and then bailed on the agreement that was going to try and make it right ? Mark's amps are awesome, but Billy isn't a crook...

I agree 100%!!!! Plus Billy is actually making amps unlike Mark.

I thought I read somewhere that one of his first amps that he sold caught fire, and the guy who bought it put it out there because Billy failed to make it right. So in that sense he is a crook.

Close, but probably not entirely accurate. If it's the amp that I think you're talking about, it was delivered, then broke, and the owner asked Billy what to fix, which was a bad solder joint (Billy proudly claimed the amp was triple soldered). When the owner discovered how truly bad it was constructed, he called Billy out on it, and Billy wouldn't make it right. Myself and another builder jumped in and helped the owner, who had zero amp experience to completely rebuild that amp, now the construction is day and night difference. The amp that Billy shipped was a straight up Jose coupled to an 18W power section. I have no respect for Billy on that accord, but the owner now has a fine amp. And the joke of a cabinet that Billy mounted the amp in was trashed it was so bad. I have nothing in it against Billy other than donating a shitload of new parts to fix his poorly built amp and over 40 hours back and forth coaching a total newbie on rebuilding his amp. I did gain a great friend in it.

Wouldn't give my money to either. Fortin, Friedman and others I would. Even if Blades was the only one modding, I'd just have to run pedals in front of my Marshall. After reading all the shit that Blades has talked, and the people he's ripped on for no reason whatsoever, if anyone gives their money to him I have to believe they've not read all those posts on other forums. Seriously, search them out. Entertaining. And sad.

Here is my understanding since I never seen the shit Blades talked until now.

Ok...

So Blades talked shit by slamming other modders and saying they were thieves and over charged.

Cameron Talked shit by promising the world to alot of people and taking their money and amps and not providing nothing.

Blades stole camerons ideas.

Cameron stole money and amps.

Now Blades is charging as much as everyone else. Even though he said he wouldnt.

Is this the gist?

Not sure how Cameron got in this, other than Blades claimed to have been ripped off by him? No one brought up " would you give your money to Blades or Cameron" in this thread that I know of until recently by you. OP brought up Blades amps and the firestorm ensued. Many apparently haven't read all of his posts...there's one here but if you look there are a shit ton out there. In every one he looks like an ass. Anyone questioning him he flames, at the same time he was looking for advice on circuits. That was on the Metro forum. 5-6 years ago I was gassing over Cameron's, and here Billy comes bragging on knowing his circuits and selling mods on eBay. So I thought about it..he was cheap enough. But before I sent my 2204 I found all these other threads about him. I waited..and continued to read. That was enough for me. Thank god I waited. And who the hell knows if Cameron actually ripped him off? Many have claimed this but I've also heard the number was far below what people claimed. Not defending Cameron but there have been posts calling people out who claimed to be owed an amp/cash and when Brad was working with Mark they were proven to be full of shit. I'm sure people are still owed amps/cash but I'd bet there was some piling on.

Ever since Jose died there's been a lot of controversy .

I was told many stories about the man and I talked with him as a teen. People from all over were flooding his shop from enthusiast to Rock star. Myself included.

I would work for my uncles Repo busines as a teen so I could buy Marshalls and send them to the famous modders back in the day. Jose,,Caswell,,Lee Jackson ,,Kolbe n Jeff Bober, Soldano. I always had the hottest sounds.

I have noticed controversy followed Joses work. From the time he died till right before I came out with the Blades amps.it seemed to almost be cursed which made me dig deeper.

A well known story about Joses amp shop being bought out has been told over n over. When the shop was bought out,,,there was amps with tags for hoards of famous Rockers.

I was told Joses family was screwed in that deal n never paid for their fathers shop. The music store screwed his family over.
I'm sure Joses spirit was furious.
A young guy work in in the back had access to these amps and capitalized for years doing Jose mods but epoxied the hell out of the modded amps making repairs a nightmare.

Then when this guy failed to produce amps for people ,,( myself included ,,,lost a 74; $uperlead). And failed to return people gear a new guy took over the mod scene . He was a guy who saw the opportunity and built anew business based on the work of Jose.
Now other companies did this as well Marshall ! Peavey etc. but the one person ,,,took the work of Jose and disgraced it with derogatory terms like Brown eye. A typical nickname for an asshole.

After learning about these new guys n how they based their entire work off of this Past Master and disgraced it ,,I felt something. A form of spiritual connection..
I started learning and spent years studying. To hear these stories,,, and be a past victim of one,,, it burned me up.
I was starting to mod when I hit a big resistance. A monopoly in fact. They were and still are running a website whee they view their members as an ongoing Virtual ATM machines.
They took the work of Jose and shit all over it.
Ripping people off,,, overcharging and disgracing this great mans legacy.

When I started modding I actually felt ''dirty'' like the money was cursed. The entire first yr of modding I gave all money made to charities. From injured children to helping out of work Americans stay in their homes..

I was approached by a few people in the amp business who believed in what I was doing saying Billy,,,, make your own ampline.
I made no effort at first because I didn't want to build amps. Thats a shit ton of work. I also felt like the guy from lord of the rings thinking the tone was finally all mine like the ring... ''my precious '' lol

The guys said look Billy,,, people are ripping people off and disgracing his name. You can make it right.

I went up against this monopoly and took tons if heat.
People called those new guys geniuses. I called bullshit... they just tried to erase Jose fromnexistance.

I've talked directly to these guys and they begged me not to start an amp company,,,, then after everything from edits to banishment to threats I just got more n more determined.
then,,, the owner who ran the website laughed and said ,,wait till Billy starts n see how much goes into it we will never hear from him again.

The worst thing to tell a strong man is '' you cant''!

So with that I started. With every mod I did and every amp I built i gave the money away to charity in honor of Jose.
I felt it was cleansing his name. With every build I give thanks to Jose.
The Blades Firebolt is based on Joses most magical amps. Within the Firebolt is the circuitry of hit makers and the legacy of a great mind.. the circuit was developed with Joses amp knowledge and EDDIE VH's ears.

It is a privilege and I continue this work not just copying it but making it even more versatile and modern.
Would never disgrace it and not give the man credit , or hide his legacy under a name known for a hairy asshole.

Jose was the Master everyone emulated.
I feel after my dues were paid and spreading the word to get him and his name back from obscurity and greedy fûkrs the curse has turned into blessings. I called out to Jose and tried to communicate the feelings of love and gratitude I had for the sounds he created.

Thank you Jose for all the knowledge and gifts you gave us to enjoy on some of the most ICONIC RECORDING OF THE ROCK N METAL UNIVERSE.
YOURE LEGACY IS WELL RESPECTED AND LIVES IN TO THIS DAY.

There is a point when a generation looks back and improves on what our forfathers did.
we see what worked well n vice versa.
There is a point where you take it beyond as well.
But to not recognise the guys who paved the way is blasphemous and disrespectful.

The amps I do are based on the best mods in the world and my Firebolt is basicly an ''all In one'' trip to Jose goodness.
I gotta give the man his props because even tho i took what was there and developed it further,,,, there would be no Blades Custom amplification without Jose Arredondo's knowledge to lead the way.

this is in all honesty probably the most insane thing I have ever read. Billy made up many lies in that. does he think anyone believes it? what I cant believe is that he himself cant see how far out and unbelievable it sounds, and that he actually posted it. His not so subtle attacks on Friedman, lies about guys begging him not to start an amp line, giving all his profits to charity, the people who told him Jose's family was ripped off, his years studying(sometimes he says he started learning about amps in 08, others in 2012), the industry insiders who approached him and told him, "people are shitting on Jose's name, you can make it right," all probably lies. I do believe that Billy believes that he called out to Jose and communicated feelings of love and gratitude, its quite easy to imagine Billy being delusional and hallucinating, that I fully believe.
