William is not building his current amps himself.

That why they may sound ..... somewhat different the Dirty Steve's Excaliber.

Pretty sure he's doing the water color painting tho ...

Good thing he isn't building them!!! Water color painting :hys: :hys: :hys:

Quick question. Not trying to get people bent out of shape or on a tyrant.
But who here has played a blades?

What did you think of your Blades? If he stole Camerons mods it must have been pretty cool, yeah? Is that you he welcomed to the Blades wrecking crew and posted a copy of the message you sent him on the Blades Facebook page?
I fucking loved it.
I have had 5 camerons ........and the one blades.
I dont give a shit who said what.....yadda..yadda....
I am sure I have said numerous things I regret....fuck it. Water under the bridge. ;)
The blades really is a killer amp. And it did sound better then the 5 camerons I owned.
Am I sticking up for he guy? Nope.
But his amps sound superb. And no my house didnt burn down.
I apologize for none of my actions. My Money my decision.
Bought it used. And the guy I sold it to loves it as well.
Out of curiosity which model Camerons did you own and what about the Blades did you prefer to the Camerons?

myself...all of them (Cameron) modified and built. Including just about every other amp made has come across my bench. What i dig is the clink you get when you play single notes and it has clean gain. Now not Fryette clean gain but for my ears really nice clarity in the chords. I don't find myself trying to floor the gain at lower volumes to make it sound and play easier. Now when you start moving air, the gain gets cleaner and less saturated. Killer rhythm sound! Yes I am making a new head-shell for it and changing the knobs. Internal the amp is about a 7 on the scale of hardwired. Now based against a 3500-4000 K amp, it is not at the level of measure and clean wires, wrapped etc. In the end, I got it for way less than new, and way less than a Cameron. To me is sounds different and to my ears it sounds better. Every time I plug into it, I just smile and think the same way I did when Marks stuff came out. I wish I could have worked with him on his brand before the "AMP DESIGNER/BUILDER" gets in the way!

If I could find a used Blades at a good price I'd pick it up, and immediately get a new headshell and knobs... I think the clips sound damn good.

This is about the best endorsement this amp could get. I've played YOUR stuff and if you say this is good; it's good. Now, the 7/10 wiring, are you/did you re-wire the amp? Was it safe [non-fire hazard] when you rec'd it?

I too have played many Camerons and still own one, what I consider to be the Holy Grail Cameron. You've made bold claims, Hilly. :D

If it sounds good it sounds good. Hell, I played a Lee Jackson modded Marshall that was killer and probably the best at retaining the original Marshall tone of all the modded Marshalls I've had. Cameron's are killer but have a bit of Mesa flair to them IMO. I don't think anyone who has flamed Blades has because of the amp. Its his nonsensical insulting self gratuitous psychotic personality. And like I said, I would take a chance on one used....and change everything out lol..and I know Jeff/Dan have had/own some great rigs so it must sound great.

Yeah, but you can't trust Dans opinion for jack. Every amp he gets is all dat and a bag of chips till he flips it. Then he sells/trades it to me or Tom and uses gay porn magazines with the pages stuck together as packing material.

Hilligans approval,on the other hand, holds more clout.

I saw nothing that was not safe or done correctly. Its all cosmetics. Wires that could be shaped better and routed cleaner. Seems all solders are fine, screws are done well with locks etc. Hell even the nuts will dig that the parts are going certain ways to make the tone way better...HA.

Ya this one will never leave my stable! Its an early build #22 and I am told by Billy himself that they are even better build since. I hammered him on quality of the amp, faceplates, knobs, head-shell, cuts, glue screws, open ended chassis, etc. He said that was the last item on his list of getting things where he wanted them.

Like I said I wish I could have helped him with a better branding but in the end he digs the looks! I'll just change the looks cause the amp flat out smokes. Even my 2204 White Cameron Jose HG, that I had, that Ned gave up....is second to the bolt.

He knows how to screw up a Marshall.

For a slight fee you can get the Holy Grail of LED's.

Wookin Pa nub .... [?????]

Very few people could make this statement and have me believe it. You are one of them. I'm in shock.

The Venom clip needs more treble and presence.....But seriously, I just checked my subwoofer to see if it's on. That sounds like the audio equivalent of testing a 9 volt battery with your tongue... :bleh: :bleh: :bleh:

Are you still bitter when I told you a Line 6 full stack was the ULTIMATE TONE and you went and bought 3??

Not sure why he dimed the treble and presence in these clips.
Trust me it's nothing but pure thick clean gain in the room.

I owned 2 joses. ....Aldrich. an ocean. And a "bogner " mod.
They all sounded great. But seems like billy boy perfected em.
Just my opinion. I had his amp full volume on 10. Two 4x12s.
And no hiss or feedback squeal.
Can't say the same bout the camerons.

It's not that I wouldn't believe you Dan, but, ya know, you played that modular stuff. ;)

Seriously though, Hilligan doesn't have the moniker "Golden Ears" for nothing..

...and so the Blades hype begins, only this time I won't buy into it. Enjoy!
