Anyone try running a Bluguitar Amp1 through the power section of an amp, or a standalone power amp like a 2/90/2 or KSR PA50 or PA100? If so, what was your experience? How does it sound compared to the Amp1 as a standalone amp? How does it take a hot boost pedal?

I have the Amp1 Silver and Mesa 290 and tried the setup you're asking.

The 290 is a clean power amp so I didn't notice any differences to running the Amp1 on its own.

Amp1 power amp section is great and I use it to run preamp pedals.

I've heard the Amp1 is a killer little amp that hangs with some of the best. The only negative thing I've heard fairly consistently with the Amp1 is that it lacks resonance compared to some true tube amps.

I think it'll really depend on the whole setup. Using the Amp1 Silver solo into two 4x12s, I often turn the bass knob down or use high-pass in the loop especially with the "vintage" mode, i.e. JTM-style.

You might want to try it with the Amptweaker DepthFinder pedal to simulate the resonance, if you need more. In my case, the rumble is enough to shake the whole room, so I don't find it lacking :)
