I’ll try to remember to update with pt. 2. Curious to see the final product with buffer bay and the thoughts behind the pedal choices. I see he removed the KOT a while ago (love that pedal)

Seeing a lot of pros with those eventide pedals, makes me curious to check one out...

Yeah I have been wanting one but I rarely use effects so the price tag is not justifiable for me. I have been seeing some used MAX for $500 on Reverb and GC which is pretty decent.

Almost everything you would need in one little box. Pretty awesome stuff.

I had 2 H9’s, a Max and a Core. The cool thing is with 1 max, it made the other also a Max, so I had every algorithm on both pedals. Like a dumbass, I sold them. Little did I know that Eventide has the market cornered on Micropitch, one of my favorite effects.

I did pick up a Neunaber Expanse, which is a similar concept. You can make it any of their effects. I use it as the Chroma, which sounds basically like a micropitch. Anyway, if you are interested in the H9, I would check out the Neunaber stuff, it’s similar but cheaper. The only thing is the H9 has all the algorithms and effects loaded into the box where the Neunaber you have to load one effect at a time. So you can have a delay, but if you want it to be a Chorus you have to write over the delay.

Thanks for sharing the video of Pete Thorn's pedalboard build. He has lot of cool boutique pedals on there. Revamping your gear whether it's a pedalboard, amp, or guitar, is a good thing and is helpful in changing things for the better.

Guitar George

Here is part 2. Seems like it would have been better to just make the board a few inches bigger but if those pedals underneath are always on then I guess it wouldn't matter.

I just got one of the friedman 1530 boards from Sweetwater during the 15% off sale. Pretty easy to set up a neat looking functional pedal system. Holes in all the right places, just like I like it.

Funny, i had h9 and then expanse also. Didnt like the eventide tone for some reason. i loced the expanse but hated dialing in the presets constantly.

I went even simpler again though. Back to four basic fx pedals in a looper for combinations.

Have one on order, but previously I had the buffer bay box and that is the shit. If you do not have one on your board, you should. Most of the tricky things you want to solve on the board are taken care of with that, selectable buffer in, in front and effects loops, patchable to in-line in front of amp...

I got the buffer but I haven't wired it in yet. Need some more George l ends and cable actually.
