Today I partook in my semi-annual speaker swapping frenzy ! I decided to give my Bogner cab a little overhaul, vacuum up a bit inside, etc. There are now 5 things about my Bogner cab that are NOT stock. All 5 are visible in this one pic. First one to name all 5 wins a "prize" :D

Yeah, I know this is a little silly, but this isn't the stupidest post on this forum   At least its gear related !
Incidentally some of the speakers I was swapping were between this and my VHT cab, also pictured. Nothing mysterious about the VHT cab; its not part of the quiz.

Well, who can name all 5 non stock aspects of this Bogner cab ?

4 speakers and removed batting on the back panel?

You got 2 out of 5. I'm afraid you flunked  ........... ;)

speakers, wiring, retainer washers?, Batting, corner protectors? casters. Did you front mount the speakers?

Well you got the same two and almost the third, but were not specific enough. Elaborate on one of them and you'll get at least one more !

The wires are different than any bogner I've ever seen. they've always got some 2 gauge black wire that's harder than hell to solder. That's not stock

Someone changed out the casters from Bogners clip on stuff to Marshall type. Looks like the first picture has the regular Bogner style and the second has Marshall type.

I've never seen a Bogner cab with corner protectors on the outside (There's three in my basement now) . That was either a special order, or added.

None of the Bogner cabs I've ever seen or had apart had the retainer clips/washers on the 4 bolts holding in the speakers. It's either been changed, or special, or I have a bad memory.

You've got the speakers on the outside of the cab with the wires running in, so I'm guessing you're front loading the speakers?

Also looks like theres a hole in the back for a screw to go into the Brace?

The bottom pic is the Vht cab. I guess having not owned a Bogner cab, George is right about the speakers being changed and the batting that usually comes on the back panel, but if I am not mistaken Bogner cabs come with rubber feet and not casters from the factory/bogner right? Also, I would say you changed the original wiring. Also, is that a new back panel you have for the cab leaning over behind it and not the original?

The two pics are different cabs, as said in the original post. The bottom pic is my green VHT cab, while the bogner is standard black.

Yup, different wire. I wasn't even going to try and solder the regular Bogner 10 awg wire to the tiny terminals on the G1265 Heritage speakers. It was hard enough with the 16 awg wire you see in the photo.

Retainer clips/washers ? Well if mine aren't stock, then thats a 6th thing !

Yes, the center brace is screwed to the back panel. No other Bogner I've seen has this. Didn't think anyone would get that one.

One to go :)

Casters, back panel both stock. Good guesses though

Ahh....wouldnt be the first thing I flunked.

Screwing the center brace to the back panel....hmm, where might I have seen that before?

series/parallel instead of just series or parallel?

Is that a small piece of cardboard on the center brace to go between the brace and the rear panel? Probably makes it fit tighter, since the lack of batting may have made it not as tight.

Chris

No, thats part of screwing the brace to the back panel.

That pic was taken just to show the speakers when the job was 1/2 done. I didn't leave it like that.

I don't know the 5 but those are great speakers.

Yes they are. Thanks to George for getting them for me.

Marshall Freak, you're so close but I think your last attempt was a guess. Go with that and elaborate and you've got it.
