How do you tell the difference between an UberKab and a regular Bogner cab? I searched first and didn't find the answer. Thanks

Newer uber cabs have front loaded speakers. The grill is removeable with two smal tabs sticking out the bottom of the grill.

I would reach out to the Bogner guru's but from what I can tell.

Factory differences:

The speakers. Standard: V30. Uber: V30 x 75.

The Grill Cloth. Standard: Tanish color w/ tan binding. Uber: Black w/ white binding

Back of the Cab. Standard: all you see is the input jack. Uber: Has Bogner square stamp.

I can not speak for all of these, thats why I recommend going to the Bogner section of the forum. Those guys will know alot more.

The older versions are different as well so you have to be careful. I think the older Uberkab's were Rear Loaded at 8 ohms instead of 16 and had 4 V30.

Not sure about the older Standards.

If someone were to change the grill cloth, speakers and back of the Cab, I have no idea how to tell the difference and that might require a call to Bogner to ask if there are any differences between the insides.

Good luck these are great cabs, I would be happy with any of them. Honestly most people will say the only difference between the two are the speaker config's.

Yeah, the Bogner forum might be the best place. I own two standards. Just some tweaks to the above... I think the piping is white (I'm not at the house with them ATM, or I'd confirm). The Bogner logo is definitely off-white tho. Newer ones are salt 'n' pepper cloth, as the tan got retired a few years ago after Bogner was unable to come to agreeable terms with the supplier. Back of the cab is nothing but a circular input jack. I wouldn't worry too much about differences, tho. All of their shit is high quality.

No. I believe the older uberkabs had the same v30/75 combo, at 16ohm. The only difference is the older cabs being rear loaded.

Now that you mention it, this is what I recall as well.

Noted, my incorrects.

Front vs. Rear loaded is a tough choice for me. I almost want to say FL's are too tight for me.

I've never used front-loaded. I tend to be a traditionalist, so I've just never tried 'em. :D

The square label can be found on both standard and Uberkab. It depends on the year. My standard cab has the label. My other standard cab (which is all black like the Uberkab) does not because it's older.

Really, the only difference between the older cabs besides the color of the grill, would be the speakers.

The newer ones Uberkabs are front-loaded.

Old version is rear loaded @8 ohms. Both mine are anyway.

Older Uberkabs are 8 ohms. New front-loaded Uberkabs are 16 ohms.
