I had that 100 A and B and bought them from Cliff when he owned them in the 90's . I think I sold them to you. Great amps indeed.

Ahhh interesting. I've got my eye on the Snorkler for sure. Too many awesome amps out there and too little money, or something like that

Not sure the guy on the FB group said he got the info directly from Bogner Maybe he jumped the gun and they are doing a 50 and 100 watt XTC Pandora in 2025

Then after a while bought the 101b, mainly because it was cheaper than the Pandora.
Did not like it at all, at least not for the kind of music i was trying to play with it.
Luckily i had a shot at getting a new pandora again a few weeks back, so i snagged it and now i'm in love again ❤️.

Wouldn't a 100w Ecstasy based on the Pandora mods just be... a Pandora? I thought that's exactly what the Pandora is.

Yeah the treble is key to these. And the presence. I have compared these amps to a stock Marshall 2204 and how high you have to set those controls on the Bogner to get closer to the Marshall sound is crazy. But it’s all there. Closer than people realize.

I no longer have the Marshall but I would love to A/B my Helios 100

I had a Helios 100 at the same time as my Ecstasy 101b. Ended up keeping the Ecstasy.

I pretty well stuck to 70's mode on the Helios and I found that the Ecstasy blue channel, dialed proper could get me close enough. That 5-10% difference I found was the Ecstasy always had a bit more chew/give and was a bit smoother in the midrange, even though you could pretty well match the brightness. Helios was always a bit more raw and grainy.

Similar situation when I got a Helios when they first came out. My ear was used to that thick huge ecstasy sound.

I think the Helios does a better job of vintage Marshall sounds, which I gravitate a bit more these days. Both pretty great.

That sound like the perfect XTC red channel and a cool Blue/ Helios 2nd channel

Love the amp! I really like the 101b gain setting for channel 3 ??
