Price jump to $3099.00  Really changed the original selling tune. "Look how much cheaper we are on The Helios compared to other modded Marshall amps in it's class," tune on this one for 2015.

a couple hundred more for better transformers? lol

Find someone who has one and profile it....then run.

The real question is did Bogner really make changes to the amp and is he using different transformers? Something in the cost of building the amp must have caused the price increase. Maybe he's including a $10 footswitch with amp now.

I liked the old one so can I just buy it with the original transformers for the original price?

Did they find some transformers that don't buzz?

I know there was hum with the FX loop engaged, which Bogner is fixing for free for current owners (minus shipping). Maybe it has to do with this.

Not sure I would get a new one again maybe used, the transformers buzzed and the effects loop hummed when you activated it. Although they increased the filtering to address the loop hum...

"All normal" according to Charlie, until they come up with a fix for it. Then it's "Oh sure we can take care of that if you send it in".

I did like the amp just some small things annoyed me...I'm usually not an early adopter of a new Bogner (or any) launch due to things like that.

Someone told me they just broke even on the first run price... Kinda wonder why they made it then? Who heard there were different trannies?

Transformers are the same quality Heyboer's as the original Helios. The "filtering" was changed to quiet down the hum and i heard they updated the board, maybe for less noise (filtering). I have a newer Helios that sounds killer.....I also had one of the first run Helios's that i only sold to buy an engagement ring. My new Helios is definitely quieter and really sounds great! I play it more than my SLO lately. I beleive Reinhold himself wired the newer ones as mine has his initials written inside the chasis. The build quality and wiring is exceptional and is quality throughout!

Maybe they underestimated the build times and costs ....i'm not surprised about a price increase and im not holding it against Bogner! Bottomline is the Helios is a quality amp with killer Plexi and Modded Marshall tones. The Suhr SL68 is $3995....Friedman is $3699....Metro Plexi is around that price as well....they all have their own thing going with the modded Marshall Plexi.

I would imagine most who are bashing the Helios have never owned one or even played thru one. Reinhold makes quality stuff and knows tone.....the Helios is no exception!

Mine has Reinhold's initials and date hand signed on the chassis, dated sometime in September of 2014. Nice amp.

My first run had Classic Tone Transformers

get Gower to do the Rockmonster mod, best modded Marshall tones, feel, punch, articulate, definition, gain levels out there!! Get a decent JCM800 or JMP as the donor amp, and watch out, the Rockmonster slays!! I like that mod better than the killer kali++. it will be less than all the mentioned amps, and can get the tones that all of them can get, or close to it, it is quite versatile!

Tone ain't cheap, still cheaper than most other handwired booteek builders magical Marshall clones. :D

So the new ones have heyboer
and the old ones have classic tone? or no?

This amp has me thinking i want one....cuz every clip i hear sounds killer!

Looking into it, I realized Gower is in the UK. So how much does it cost to send a Marshall head there and back, gotta be some coin

Guess I'm wrong then. Thought they had Heyboer. ....the choke does say " Classic Tone" so I'm sure you're correct.

There OT isn't bad but the PT's aren't very good imo. Any of their transformers need the thin mounting legs supported with a decent mount. I could bend the OT over with one finger damn near.
