Bogner Helios Video from the LA Amp show

Hey Guys,

Here is the video you have all been waiting for. I filmed this with my iphone in the room while Prashant Aswani demoed the amp so forgive the quality and cut off ends. The amp sounded great.

Plexi input, Hot Input, footswitchable boost, channel 2 got high gain in the hot setting.

100 Watt $2849
50 Watt $2549

Estimated to be Shipping in 8-10 weeks but thats a moving target. We have several on order, let me know if your interested in one via PM.

I haven't been able to see video imbeds for a couple of weeks now. Anyone having this issue?
Is it the OS7 iPhone update?

I really want to see/hear this :doh:

Probably. I've tried to upload a video to YT for two days.
 
Seems expensive for what it does but it does sound good though.. That said, for that cash, I'd prob save a bit more and get an ecstacy and use the blue channel as this seems to be in that vein.

I dunno. From that clip (when the mic isn't clipping), it sounds much more aggressive/open than the blue channel on the 101B, and gainier as well. The Ecstasy is a really refined amp, and that sounds anything but.
 
Sounds good. :thumbsup:

Camera mic's tend to add high end and could be making the clip sound more aggressive than in the room, will be interesting to hear more.
 
Sounds a little like my 100B but without the sag. Sounds nasely, could be the guitar or just the poor audio quality.
 
Gotta admit this clip does almost nothing to me :confused: . The tone kinda is there but isn't. Waiting for better clips.
 
Other than the mic clipping, might be the Tele....

Based on what options it has and the price, it doesn't seem overpriced when you think about the Suhr SE-100. It could come down to either getting a used 101b or a new Helios if one was in the market with that budget. Pretty cool stuff. Glad to see Bogner come out with another full-sized head.

But like the rest of you, I'm anxiously waiting for better clips. Thanks for whetting the appetite, Brad.

Sounds like a good Marshall. I had a Brixton head that was more Marshall sounding than the XTC. Cranked up it was the first Badlands CD- say Highwire!

Looking forward to trying this one out. I dont need insane gain have that covered.
 
It sounds to me like it has some real potential. I'm not anxious to get one by any means, but the right fundamentals are showing through in that clip to suggest it's going to be a fantastic amp.
 
Nothing earthshattering in this clip!!! Sounds like a slighty more aggressive version of the 101B blue channel. Need better clips!!!
 
sorted of a wasted promo though with useless wanking. can't tell what the amp sounds like.

I have had the same issues. Great update.
 
I wonder if this one has anything of that old bogner modded marshall that Jerry Cantrell used on the first AIC records, the clip didn't really help much.

this was not a promo, just me walking in the room and catching that on my iphone. I am sure real pro clips will be posted. For what its worth it sounded really good in the room.
 
Sounds good. It's hard to say from a clip, but it seems to have nice Marshall crunch with a bit of SLO clarity and modern punch / low sag – it sounds closer to a raw Marshall than a woolly XTC. It reminds me a bit of the Cherry Bomb clips I've heard.

I doubt it has enought gain for serious metal, though... probably aiming more for the mid-gain middle-aged crowd. :D
