I just got the Bogner Red yesterday and all I can say is....holy crap! Simply amazing. Reinhold really outdid himself with these babies. It truly does have an Ecstasy channel preamp vibe more than a typical drive pedal. All the switches really do impact the tone and feel as advertised and it really is a joy to play through. I was so impressed, I just said "screw it" and ordered up the Blue pedal last night. If you guys want to save your money, do NOT try one of these pedals! $600 has never left my wallet so fast! :D

I wanna know about the Uberschall pedal, haven't seen any killer clips or reviews of it yet.

I played the Red through a friend's Electradyne and it was frickin amazing!!!!

Are you guys using these through your clean channels? I really wish I could try one out before buying.

Basically, yes. I've run it through both my YJM and Vintage/Modern with them setup clean with just the smallest hint of breakup when you really dig in. When I get the Blue, I'm going to try it as an overdrive/boost with a dirtier sound - maybe with channel 2 of my 5150 III. I suppose I could try that with the Red, but just haven't gotten that far yet.....

I played one and was pretty let down by it. Right off the bat I was curious how Uber like it would be because it did not have a presence, and the real Uber relies on the unique interaction between the presence and mids. It had the Uber vibe, but it was hard to balance the treble and mids; the mids went from too scooped to too blocky way too easily. And what do you know, I think a lot of the eq issues I was having could have been fixed with that same presence - mid interaction the real Uber has. Also, it didn't have as much gain as you'd expect. The tight low end was a pleasant surprise, though. It may be killer though the right amp, but the eq's just weren't flexible enough.

The Red, on the other hand, is incredible. I really want to pick one up.

I heard them all at the amp show through a Deluxe and was blown away. I drug a few guys from the fractal fest to go listen.

Yep, amazing pedals! I love my Red. Run it into a Blues Deluxe set clean and it sounds absolutely huge. Very musical, very amp-like.

Saving for a Red.

Juggs, sweet avatar! Makes me feel the Christmas spirit:)

From what I have read running them into a clean amp is key. One guy on TGP tried his though a silvery jubilee and didn't like it, it was the red as I remember.

TGP had a few people who liked the uber, but no clips. Most thought the red had more gain than the uber....

Yeah, its all about the clean channel here, its terrible as a boost or OD. It over compresses everything and just turns it to mud

I am trying to read reviews/listen to demos and then I am going to decide between the blue or the red. Definitely getting one though.

I wonder what it would sound like with something like the EHX 44x powering it? That could be a super portable live rig...

I'll let you know how it sounds with a EH .22, just got my Red today.

Sounded good. Very amp like, touch responsive and volume knob sensitive. As a one channel grab and go rig it would be great. I think the .44 would sound even better, more clean headroom and woud probably even hold up with a loud band.

I am starting to hear different demos of these and I find I'm actually turned on more to the blue now as the red sounds like it can get the fizzies with the gain up. I just want to know how much bite these have in the top end? Are they smooth or can they crunch and cut the teeth some? Having never played a bogner, I can only go on youtube clips and they vary.

To the second point about the .44 magnum. I have one as well which I had originally bought for a wet/dry scenario but heard a few demos of the power amp being driven by a POD or london bones pedal and it sounded killer! Has got me thinking along these lines as well that this would be a very quick and dirty not have to worry about tubes and failure practice/gig gear setup. The only thing you have to worry about is a cab!

I tried the Blue and the Red yesterday. Both were fantastic. I tried them both thru a Fender vibro something. Im definitely leaning towards the Red one. Just wondering what would be the best amp for it. A fender clean circuit or a marshall clean. My Splawn quickrod has an extremely clean, clean channel. I know most complain about the quickrod cleans, but for some reason, mine wont breakup at all. Even with the gain knob dimed. However its a Very hi mid emphasized marshally clean.
What are you guys favoring ampwise with the ecstasy pedals?

Awesome thanks! I think that would be a really cool little rig. My worry with 44 watts solid state is that it couldn't keep up with a hard hitting drummer (maybe it would, I don't know).
