Sounds good to me. Cantrell used a boosted Shiva for the Degradation Trip tones and those killed.

I liked it. It had a lot of Marshall qualities and still like a bogner. Does the amp sound like this without the ocd or is the pedal voicing it mainly?

The OCD is coloring the tone slightly. Using the amps boost will get you in the same ballpark as far as gain and chewiness, but it will be more pronounced in the lower mids.

The OCD isn't really adding a shit load of gain. I have the knobs all set at noon and the mini toggle down in the LP position. The amp on it's own with the built in boost is enough gain for me but like I said in a previous post, the OCD lets me tweak the tone slightly and I can get a little more bite.

Try the 20th Shiva and save the money you would spend on a OCD. The 20th gain channel is absurdly good.
