I own the Hafler version, great simple 3-channel preamp. Not sure how much different this is.

Cool. Seems like it is pretty similar to the fish in terms of voicing

Nice, never heard of this pre. would pair well with my Two Notes Torpedo CAB I'd reckon. ;)

Question is, would it unseat my TriAxis?

How does it compare to the Fish?

Noticed in the pics, Signed: "Bogner for Guy Man Dude" ?

Had the Hafler as well and it was pretty awesome. Had the T3 as well.

T3? Man I keep hearing about these obscure pres. The market seems pretty limited as far as household names and for the lesser known boutiques there just isn't a lot of volume so word doesn't get out. Just found out that TITAN and Peters have preamps as well.

The only thing I know about the Bogner Triple Giant is it's supposedly what Marty Friedman used to record his lead on RIP which is my favorite lead tone of all time. It's not definitive as some speculate it was a plexi or some other amp. In interviews Marty doesn't seem to care what he's playing through in the studio. He just plugs in and plays. Hell he played a Crate for awhile.

the Bogner modded JCM (the "Snorkler") that was used to record Facelift had pretty much the same circuit of the Sharp channel of the Triple Giant (which is more like a Randall Diavlo preamp circuit than like the Shark channel of the Fish or like any other Bogner amp)

the Brown channel is supposed to be close to the Fish's and somewhat similar to the Ecstasy's red ch, though

wow, those prices..I paid bout 500 for a dead mint, like new one once.Real nice preamp.Used one for 10 years. My fav ch was the brown (or ch 2).I do like the fish better though.I actually used both the triple and fish simultaneously for a while.
