Not my clip but I had to share to RT:

I like the music in the clip but not the tone so much. Sounds very processed. I have heard great sounding clips of this amp though. This vid certainly affirms the amp is not for me…
There’s one on Facebook.I've been waiting for the EL34 version to come back into stock, and meanwhile just drooling over everyone's videos daily. I'm about to escalate into jealous rage here soon.
There is a slightly cheaper one a lot closer to me. But, my hold up is people selling them used are asking the price of a new one or more. I might as well just buy a new one. Or, if someone can convince me they aren't any better than a rev blue.....There’s one on Facebook.
I actually modded a Marshall for the seller. He’s legit.

Yeah I hear you on that! There is a slightly cheaper one a lot closer to me. But, my hold up is people selling them used are asking the price of a new one or more. I might as well just buy a new one. Or, if someone can convince me they aren't any better than a rev blue.....
I can confirm that it’s much better than all the previous versions except for the very 1st version which I’ve never played, heard or seen in person. Then again, I’ve heard the 1st version is basically exact as Rev 2 but with a much faster gain pot, which would be ridiculous because Rev 2 gain is practically 0 to instant 100 as it is.Or, if someone can convince me they aren't any better than a rev blue.....

I had bogner mod my ek34 Rev blue to handle the k88s and it was a beast : I regret selling that one . Probably my biggestIMHO the amp is well beyond anything Marshall and with up to 7 gain stages I find the EL34 voicing isn’t for me. I actually want the super linear supply for the headroom. I imagine in true Bogner fashion that with KT88s the amp is an absolute monster for heavier material. I feel it competes with the Herbert mkiii and the likes. For this reason I don’t plan on selling my 101B. The blue channel boosted is just that good.

Yep I have an el34 101B but the Uber ultra based on the voicing is going to have to be KT88. Every clip I’ve found of EL34 doesn’t sound right in the mids. Sorta reminded me of how the metroplex was voiced. Power amp didn’t compliment some of the pushed capabilities of the preamp.I had bogner mod my ek34 Rev blue to handle the k88s and it was a beast : I regret selling that one . Probably my biggest

The thing with Bogner is that he has changes transformers to tune primary impedance for maximum power transfer and overall power side design (grid stoppers, bias, heater supply, etc) to meet the tubes intended for the model. You can likely swap the tubes but note those KT88s pull way more heater current than EL34s.Get the el34 and put KT88s in it. That’s what I did.
Yeah see I don’t like the Herbert at all either.IMHO the amp is well beyond anything Marshall and with up to 7 gain stages I find the EL34 voicing isn’t for me. Yeah, I got to be honest… I absolutely fucking love my Uber shell module from synergy. And I agree, the idea of not having overlap is what I look for as well. One thing I really realized with the new KSR Amps, is your guy to stop expecting ants to do some thing they weren’t designed to do. Like I know a lot of people buy amps and dial them in like their marshals and then get mad if they don’t sound like one. I think what you’re saying about the Uber ultra, being that it’ll do certain heavy tones really really well. It just seems to be a tone I don’t like. Some amps are a little more rough around the edges but do great for certain genres or in certain mixes. I’ve been looking for an amp to do the heavies and the uberschall ultra would do just fine. The reason I don’t want a rev2 is because I already have a 101B and there’s overlap that is redundant when the 101B is boosted. There’s absolutely no overlap with the ultra which is why I’m interested. I personally don’t like the diezel stuff either which is why I’ve held out waiting to see what comes to the market or deciding to design another model from scratch.
I can certainly respect that and honestly I don’t favor much of the wizard stuff either by comparison, but I get why people buy them and love them. It doesn’t mean they sound terrible it’s just not what I’m chasing or what I find inspiring. Models exist to do AC/DC to being in Dime’s collection mixed with albums but in todays market they just don’t bring enough heat AND fluidity for easy soloing. They’re also much more expensive and with less features than the UU.Yeah, I got to be honest… I absolutely fucking love my Uber shell module from synergy.
