So is the bottom end tight on the TJ? And how is the "Masrhally" channel?

Yes the bottom end is nice and tight and the Marshally channel reminds me of a Cameron CCV but more tweakable. You can dial this channel in to be straight up killer Uber metal or modded Marshallish or lots of different flavors. I have to say this is a way cooler amp than any Uber that I have heard before. I had a very early one and then the rev. blue and this is far and away the best yet.

Cool, that makes me really want to hear that amp. A buddy of mine is a dealer and said the new Shiva is unreal. He has sold a couple already. I want to hear that one, too. Sounds like Bogner has really listened to what the customers want. Very cool.

The shiva is awesome. They just got another one in. I'm sure you know Allen bought the first one. Allen has the new Uber coming too. I can't wait to check it out.

This is actually encouraging because I had one of the first Ubers for about three months and it was definitely one of my least favorite amps of all times. I hated that amp with a passion lol! Sounds like the new one kills!!

 Which dealer are you guys buying through?

Hey Guys,

IMO and the general consensus on RT is that if you are buying a new Bogner Amp the only place to get it is from Rob at Tone Merchants.

He is close friends with the Bogner boys and gets all the inside scoop and the gear first. I know when I was getting my new Twin Jett my first and only call (PM actually) was to Rob  (Good People)

Does not hurt when the man Snider chimes in as well

:) So basically the Bogner uberschall twin jet is a Must have amp? Well I guess I did the right thing then. ;)

+1 on Rob. Tone Merchants is a great dealer.

Steve

I find the Bones to be on par with the gain of an Uberschall when pinned around 2:00. As a matter of fact, I think you will find the voicing and chunk of the high gain assignment of the Bones to be near that of the Uber. The Bones will be more articulate though and less saturated than the Uber. Its not overly bright either. The EQ control of the Bones is very reactive to adjustments and you can dial it in very easy.

On my Bones, I had the 4th gain stage and the 2nd master volume put in. The thing that will sell you on the Bones is the ability to switch voicings, gain boost and 2nd master volume, whereas with the Uber you are limited. There are several switching options Mike can hook you up with, but he fixed me up with an RJM Gizmo to control these 5 functions with MIDI.

One thing that makes the Bones so hot is the +620V transformer. It really drives the hell out of the tubes. When you look inside the Bones chassis though, you will see a lot of Uber. Sounds like the Twin Jet maybe will have some of the same character as the Bones.

I plan to get really up close and personal with the Bones this week. I did order an MXR gate for the Bones. With 4 gain stages on tap, the amp will feedback within a 100 yards of it. No white noise to speak of, which is amazing. I was using active EMG's though. Not sure how it will react with passives.

Yeah, he came over the other day but didn't bring the Shiva. :gethim:

Looking forward to checking out the TJ, I have never played an Uber that I liked...as a matter of fact I have only played one Bogner that I liked, an XTC Classic a few years ago.

I have to admit, my Egnater MOD50 + high gain modules has covered me nicely, but I've been very eagerly interested in the Überschall Twin Jet. Hopefully I can get a review commissioned for one and try one out for a while! :)

I've found over the years the more excited Snider is over a piece of gear, the quicker it's usually sold off.

Understood Ralphie! I can say that I love my Kingsley Tonebaron, Suhr PT100,

Guytron GT100, Egnater TOL 100 with TOS mod, Two Rock 3 Channel custom high gainer and this crazy Bogner Uber twin Jet.

I think you would dig every amp I have and the new Bogner would be impressive as hell!

I'll have to check one out Steve! Definitely not a fan of the first ones!
With that said, Don't get me started on the Kingsleys! I've been wanting one of those amps since I first heard the clips way back when! I also love Simons Playing!!

Hope all is well!!

Ralph

I see a twin jet in my future, i wont get one till next year because i have another KL explorer coming at the end of the year but i have a feeling i would love this amp. i have a uber rev blue right now and its one of my fav amps.
