Have a line on one, looks brand new, except some idiot has had a penny in the fuse covers. Wondering what some of you who have had one think? What say you?

I dig it but wouldn't buy one where somebody bypassed the fuse safety mechanism. Generally, that's done for a reason, and not a good one.

Well, they did not bypass it, they just used a coin to get into it (both of them) I do wonder why. It has the right fuses in it, and does work properly

I don't understand. Where's the penny?

If you mean using a coin to turn the thing so you can get it out. I would not worry about that. Not the best tool for the job. But I have done that.

I've had 4 of them over the years and definitely prefer the first version best - S/N under 100. YMMV...

He just used it to get into the fuses and kinda scratched em up. penny, dime, or somthing similar. Anyone have trouble with fuses blowing? it seems to work fine, and is pretty quiet.

Was also wondering how they boost? Anyone running somthing in front of one?

Gc in Rockville md has the first version for 2k I think.

I had the Uber Rev 2 halfstack. Thickest, meanest sounding amp I ever owned.

big Uber fan here as well. Sounds good at low volumes. Very big wide 3D tone with an evil voicing. Best paired with an UberKab IMO.

wha-happened?

Liked it for Rhythms a lot better than I liked it for lead wanking. I was still well into my amp whore ways at that point.

Had one for 3 days. LOVED the overdrive, found the clean unusable. Preferred the SLO.

Yeah, the clean channel did not do a thing for me, I guess that should be a factor, but its not in this case :D ;) I really liked the gain channel, but I was hearing it through a boogie 2X12 half-back cab, which I hate. I think he will let me try it at home, that will be the real test  I have a shot at it for 1200 dollars. seemed like a killer deal, it looks new and is real clean inside. I am on the verge of a cool recording project with a drummer who is fantastic, it seems like a good alternate tone to my Marshalls. Sounds thicker and has a little more depth, but I need it at home to really tell

$1200 is a sick price. Definitely worth it for that price.

That sounds like a good deal. ..... good luck with the project.
