Just read the interview.
Why in the hell would you want to attach yourself to admitting knowing where claptons stolen guitar is located??

That's just not cool. :aww:

I wonder if they omitted something from the article, like him saying he's talked to Clapton about its location.

Yeah thought that too. Maybe Clapton knows. It's just wrote really shady.
I was a juror on a murder case. Sent a guy life to prison just for 'KNOWING' it happened. So this admittance blew me away.

IMHO, he's a generic blues guy, watched him in concert. Bored as hell. Comes off as a pompous douche with slicked back hair and sunglasses inside. ymmv.

I love his playing, and have several of his live DVDs. His live tone is pretty stellar, to say the least. But, you can only hear that Eric Johnson lick so many times, before it just gets old. I just got burned out! Same thing happened with SRV. Was the king of the hill, then it got old. Sadly, when he passed, it really got old. The guy was a legend, as is Joe. But, I can only handle and enjoy in small doses.

Wait, help me out here. If you don't like something or someone it's because your jealous?
What is this, high school? Ridiculous.

What is a good album to listen to to get a good representation of what Joe does?

You & Me and Blues Deluxe are my favorite Bonamassa discs!!

There's a bunch. "Live at the Greek Theater" would be a good one. Not as focused/more varied than other albums. You can sign-up at his website and get emails (a lot of them ;) ) with links to videos and downloads. His marketing team is all over it

Thanks man. I'll check it out

I don't think that's what people are saying. It's fine not to like something. This is art, and it's all subjective. But "hating" on someone is a bit different. I think he is talented within his genre, but even if you're a fan of that genre, it seems reasonable to not particularly like his music. I'm certainly not running out to buy his stuff.

And that interview about Clapton's guitar... I try not to guess about people's motivations or some hidden agenda. But if that's all he was going to say on the matter, then his actions demonstrate poor judgment: why mention it at all? And the trouble once someone's demonstrated poor judgment without clearing the air: can his judgment about any of it be trusted? Just weird.

Not always. But in this case, yes. And if you're telling me it doesn't get like high school around here from time to time then that, is ridiculous. But whatever. It's the interwebz.

Oh, we're definitely all ridiculous! But it's fun.

By the way, I love what Joe brings to the table. Hey the guy is out there in 2017 playing guitar based music and making fans happy. We don't have to like everything he does but damn, at least he's doing it.
The guys business model is amazing and he proves that a career in music is achievable.

I am not jealous of the guy. Honestly never heard his music. I know his name from being bounced around. All I did was read the interview he gave. To me personally?? Not cool.
Crime is crime. Unless Clapton gives him thumbs up ......
His admitted words are ridiculous.

Regarding Beano; from what I've read JB has been told where it is. He hasn't seen it nor can say 100% it is actually there. But apparently 'people that would know' and he trusts enough to believe told him where it allegedly was. In that context to me it's a non-issue. Buncha hearsay. But based on the reaction, he shouldn't even have mentioned it.

That's fair...

Yeah, it was not a good idea to even bring it up in the context of that interview.

Kinda like "ya I know where the kidnapped kid is, I haven't seen the kid, but I know where he is, but that's all I'm gonna say". Obviously that's an extreme comparison but we are talking about a guitar that's probably worth half a million if not more. But that is the first negative thing Ive ever heard about him (and really it's only negative if you perceive it that way). Everything else has always been praise.

Some dismissive comments about hair, sunglasses and the like are expression of weak mindedness of the originator of such comments. Writing stuff like that is like typing your own attest of mental retardation.

      I'm not a fan of anyone who wears sunglasses inside, but not enough of a big deal to mention it honestly. The hair thing, I dont get? I guess it makes you a pompous ass to slick your hair back? Did not know that.
