Very cool. Pros that act like normal Joes.

That kid has a great motor. I hope he sticks with it.

Wow one of my favorite tunes! The drummer is amazing for his age.. can u picture this kid at 12?!!! This is the first time ive ever heard brad paisly, although i read the article bout him in last months guitar world.. Love the twang of that tele in the clean breaks and man can that dude wail on that thing... I hate country music but damn those are some fine chops on display here!

I do not like country music either, but some country pickers are where the shred is these days. I'd love to be able to play like some of these guys.

On the very rare occasion, it happens.

Ejecta and I went to a Nashville Amp show and went to the 3rd power room. Some old guy with a red tele came and we all sat through Jamie's demo. Then the dud with the tele said he wanted to play through the American Dream. Wow. That dude tore up some chicken picken shit. We was sitting behind him, so I couldn't see his hands, but what he was doing just wasn't making sense in my brain. It was like notes where flying every where, yet it was contained and part of what he was doing.

Needless to say, we didn't play the amp when offered. What was the point? About all I would have been able to muster up after that was a strummed G chord. It would have been hard for anyone to have followed him. There's only been a few times I heard something live like that that I was blown away because I wasn't expecting it. That was one of them.

I should have said I hate the real POP-EE country music of today. There are some great players out there that dont get alot of attention for what they do... My first guitar techer had 5 or 6 solo instrumental country albums out and when i walked in there with my "ride the lightning" songbook and asked him to teach me how to play the sweep part in the creeping death solo he completely turned me around and we settled on learning a bunch of SRV and old blues tunes then some country hybrid picking stuff and then on to "cliffs of dover" I only took lessons for 6 months once a week but I learned alot of country chicken pickin techniques really help you with a ton of different styles...

Brad is amazing although that Z-Wreck video above displays it better than Hot For Teacher. The kid is also sick for his age!!

me too! eddie is a decent enough chicken picker though....it'd be interesting to see them do something like "it might get loud".

Andy Wood is another great player. I like the way he has fused the metal and Nashville sound. I have bought some of his stuff off iTunes.

If anyone else knows great players that bring LA and Nashville together, let me know. I always dig some new tunes. It is the lifeblood of inspiration.

It Might Get Loud 2: David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen, Brad Paisley

I'd definitely watch that
