Andy Wood is another great player. I like the way he has fused the metal and Nashville sound. I have bought some of his stuff off iTunes.

If anyone else knows great players that bring LA and Nashville together, let me know. I always dig some new tunes. It is the lifeblood of inspiration.

andy's sooo good...and keeps getting better...

people like that baffle me.

Awesome
Brad is def a monster player, he always has more under the hood than he's laying on the table

That is scary how good the young new prodigies are. I am old and take lessons from better players every chance I get.... But... There are very few teachers that cover the Paisley ground. I have tried 2 in ATL and they both say it is a specialized thing. We learn major scales and some cool runs. But those guys solo in each chord of the progression and then cop a little blues section and do it all on the fly.

Mad props to those that put the years in the wood shed to get so good.

Steve Morse s another that boggles the mind. Travels of Marco Polo is a great song that amazes..

On topic, it will be interesting to see what that kid is up to in a few years. Someone posted some work of a young girl guitarist that has kept playing over the last 4-5 years. She is pretty amazing.

New found respect for Brad ! I'm a new fan of his. That kid has a beautiful talent.

Once a year Dr Z amps throws a 2 day amp fest.
Few years ago the Saturday jam was at a local bar with a good sized stage.
People get up for impromto jams (quite good actually) and after an hour or so,from the side door in walks Brad.
Gets up on stage with a 14 year old Tele picker and lets the kid shine. The kid kicked ass,,,knew all of Brads riffs.
Brad makes a comment to Dr Z (Mike) "can we get this guy a better guitar"?(he was playing a beat up MIM Fender Tele)

Handed out tickets to his show that night in Cleveland and exclaimed"sorry bout the locations, but there free"

Is someone switching the amp or turning on/off a pedal for Brad off stage?

Firkins is not forgot ;) Andy holds his own outside just rock and country. He's as good as anyone out there IMHO  Doug Aldrich, Pete Thorn, and Guthrie Govan will tell you that ;)

Brad Paisley's stuff is way tougher that Hot For Teacher. The guys is a absolute monster guitarist.

+1

I'd like to see Eddie try to play Brad Paisley.

me too! eddie is a decent enough chicken picker though....it'd be interesting to see them do something like "it might get loud".

It Might Get Loud 2: David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen, Brad Paisley

I'd definitely watch that
