So the other day I was in my local Nashville area GC when Derek St. Holmes walks in...
I have had the extreme pleasure of meeting him twice before at GC over the past few months... I am a true blue hard core Ted Nugent fan since 1979...
Anyway this time he has Brad Whitford in tow with him and are looking at a vintage 1958 Tele...
So I said hi to Derrick and was kind of standing down because I had never met Brad before...
They proceeded to try the Tele and I guess it was a no go... I said to Derek "you didn't like the Tele"?... He said I'm a Gibson guy, Brad was looking at the Tele
Then Brad just walks up to me and says Hi, I'm Brad and sticks his hand out to shake mine... I was like wow, how totally cool!
I said Yes I recognized you when you were playing the Tele and I simply said THANK YOU, Thank you for all the years of great music I have enjoyed..
I got my first Aerosmith record in fall of 1978 and the early ones are my most favorite.
Anyway I said to Derek (who is a Marshall purest kind of guy)... "Hey Derek I am still really diggng my Friedman Brown Eye"...
He said that's right your a "Friedman guy" (we have had this conversation before) and you should show Brad the pics in your phone of your rig...
He told me that Brad was really wanting to get one now because Him and Brad were just playing the Friedman small box 50 in the
Platinum room with a Friedman 2x12 just before I ran into them... He said that Brad just totally dug it too.. ALOT.
So i pulled my iPhone 6 out showed Brad Whitford the pics of my rig at home and had this extremely cool conversation about
Friedman amps and why I really loved them so much and all that... It was cool as crap because I could tell he had rellay dug the small box 50 and was into the conversation.
We talked about 10 min or so and they left but not before my buddy who works there snapped a shot of us...
I was trying to look calm and natural... but as always in these situations I get this blank stupid retard look on my face... lol
