This actually seems on topic.
Unless of course you're referring to the"Three Billy Goats Gruff"

I like a tunomatic for ease of use and it looks cool. But FR feels the best to me, holds tune the best and you can do fun stuff with it. I would probably prefer a floyd rose on every guitar if someone else would set it up.

I am not a whammy guy. I like TOMs on Les Pauls and SGs especially. The Carvin FT6 is a nice bridge. I really ain't a guitard though. For basses I really like the brass Spector bridge, Hipshot and Badass bridges.

I have found the Gotoh 1996T to be a better trem than the current Floyd Rose.
A lot less expensive, too - hell, about the price of a Special, I think? I've never owned one or installed one on one of my guitars but people have nothing but good things to say about them.

I put a Gotoh 1996T on a friend's guitar not too long ago. Really nice and high quality.

For the longest time, I was a hardtail guy.

I think I've drifted more toward the Strat style trem in the past few years though. I've got one on my PRS that's fully floating, another that's just barely got enough spring tension to sit flat on the body until I do a hard bend, and another that's pretty stiff. I like what they offer tonally on the right guitar.

My favorite is the Spector high mass block bridge on all my basses. Guitar bridges will never be that cool.
