Bucket list amps you haven’t gotten to play yet, much less own?

A few amps that I can't justify the price (Dumble, Wizard, etc.) or vintage amps that I don't want to deal with parts/repairs.

Around $5K is the most I'd spend on an amp even though I could spend more, and the only amp I purchased even close to $5K is my Diezel VHX. To spend more than $5K on an amp, it would have to be something I think is amazing and worth it, to justify selling a few amps that it would have to replace.

For amps under $5K, I've already tried or purchased anything that interested me.

Yeah i know what you mean. I don't flip gear like I used to but I wish I would have got a few amps back in the day that were pricey and held on to them.

Owned and sold all 3.
Great amps don't get me wrong.
A good high gain amp will get you in the general ballpark and may even be better depending on your tastes.

They're not some magical pixie dust that no other amp can get close too though.

I still sound like me playing through pretty much any amp.

Ultimately for me it comes down to what amp(s) inspire you to play most 🍻🤘
I have had slo and wizard and sold both. But i wouldnt put in same category at all. And all high gain amps definitely play differently. I could play any hogh gain amp. But only special ones stay very long

All I’m left with is curiosity to try some amps but no burning desire.
Matamp, various models
Early revision recto. I remember playing a recto in the store when they first came out and didn’t like it at all 😂. Would like to try one of those early ones again to see how I feel about it now.
Diezel Paul or Big Max, maybe an Einstein.
Bogner Goldfinger SL., Helios Eclipse
The Hook amp with the motorized knobs.
HH solid state combos/heads from the late 70’s/early 80’s. Fair amount of British bands I dug used them.
Like the recto but with amps I liked, it would be a curiosity to re-visit amps I played in the past to see if I still liked them, with where I’m at now. Peavey 5150 OG, Marshall Silver Jubilee, Marshall 6100LM, VHT/Fryette Ultra Lead. Kind of do a, this is your life, of amps.

Never had a chance to play an SLO or any Diezel, Would also like to try an Uber.
We’ll make this happen. You interested in playing a Rev blue or green uberschall?

You’ll have to go see @Techdeth to try the Diezels lol hoping to get a vh4 eventually but that is down the line.

I have to keep reminding myself that music is a hobby, so I need to curb my GAS.

Heading to GC this afternoon to sell a few things; also working on a list of things that I may sell over the next few weeks...I'm out of room, and this place feels like an obstacle course....the gear clutter is finally getting to me.

once I make some room, I will organize the things I want to keep (e.g., need to sell a 4x12 to make room for a shelf that can hold 4-5 tube amp heads)...

Not high gain related (because I have been lucky enough to own my high gain grail) but I’d also love to someday own:
1.) Dumble sss or ods
2.) Two rock JM signature
3.) OG blackface bassman

Uberschall Rev Green
Wizard Hell Razor
Redseven Leviathan
Driftwood Purple Nightmare
Ground Zero SLO 100

I've had the pleasure of owning a lot of great amps over the years. I would say the the three amps that I have never owned, but would like to at some point would be:

Bogner 101B
Cameron CCV
Wizard

Gower. I've never heard a Gower clip that didn't make me reach for my wallet. Its just so hard for me to justify a 'boutique' amp at my current station: weekender / hobby status.

Larry is the only one I saw on this thread I have not tried.

I am interested in the next Ultralead.

Andy Marshall is building me a amp right now. A new prototype.
