Bucket list amps you haven’t gotten to play yet, much less own?

I’m thankful that my list has gotten pretty short. But I’ve still never played an SLO, Herbert, or a Wizard. And it seems like unless I shell out the cash for one (especially a Wizard), I’ll never get to. What’s left on your bucket list to try?

Ampeg SS150 for that 90's grind

Engl SE Founders Edition...tons of features for only 1 or 2 sounds I'd actually use😂

Randall V2- Want to try a high powered SS/hybrid amp like this

SLO, Bogner Ecstasy. I'd like to have a Friedman or two and some other amps similar, but mostly just the 2 mentioned.

Fryette
Wizard
Soldano

Also curious about...
Mesa Tremoverb
Carstens
Headfirst and Monomyth
Bogner Snorkler

The one amp I thought about the last 15 years is the VH4. Hated the Dmoll, and thought the Herbert MK1 and MK2 were ok at best, but I just grabbed a 2023 VH4 and its the biggest shocker in my amp journey. Honeymoon, but so far I'm stunned.

It's such a killer amp. People seem to have a love/hate thing with them, but everyone should at least test one out imo. It's a permanent GAS killer for a lot of people.

Yep, I held off for a long time and cycled through many amps, but the VH4 is one I always thought about but passed on. I've read the latest models are brighter and more aggressive and I can attest the 2023 is plenty bright and really aggressive, and I like really really bright hyper aggressive tones. I had written off Diezel long ago but this is a killer amp.

Never had a chance to play an SLO or any Diezel, Would also like to try an Uber.
SLO 100 is a beast but for me too loud to get into the goods. SLO30 is crazy good up to moderate volume but falls apart at louder volume IMO. Diezels for me were a no go on Dmoll and Herbert MK1/MK2, but the VH4 I just grabbed is sick changed my feelings on Diezel. Uber Rev blue was cool but a bit generic in tone and gain structure IMO, big let down. Uber Ultra KT88 is a beast and full of sick tones but a bit processed sounding, but brutal as hell.

Thanks for the rundown! It's pretty much what I expected with the exception of the VH4. Gonna have to try it now.

Wizard is the only one that comes to mind, that I’ve never played at all.

The Atlanta GC used to have some nice Diezels, Bogners, VHT’s etc. that I got to try briefly back in the day. I’d love a chance to revisit some of those.

Mezzabarba Mzero Metal Mod and Apocalypse
Soldano modded Marshall
'60's Marshall JTM45
'60's Vox AC30 or 15 4 Input EF86 Version
Real Train Wreck (Ken Fischer made). Out of my budget though lol

I've tried everything else I wanted to at this point including a real '70's Dumble ODS I got to try in 2019

But I’ve still never played an SLO, Herbert, or a Wizard
Owned and sold all 3.
Great amps don't get me wrong.
A good high gain amp will get you in the general ballpark and may even be better depending on your tastes.

They're not some magical pixie dust that no other amp can get close too though.

I still sound like me playing through pretty much any amp.

Ultimately for me it comes down to what amp(s) inspire you to play most 🍻🤘

Never even seen a Diezel out in the wild. Would be cool to see what the hype is about.

Haven't played these and would be cool to try:
Bogner
ENGL Blackmore
Friedman Jose
