Burny Randy Rhoads Les Paul Update

My Edwards also has very low smaller frets. Plays great though. So how do you find the burny quality overall? They are still one of the few deals out there for Japanese guitars. Most reviews I see are favorable and I love my Edwards cream colored Randy inspired LP
I have the same Edwards @scottosan bought four or five months ago and man, for $600 it is a heckuva guitar. The rosewood board is one of the nicest boards I've gotten to put my hands on. Dark and very slick and fast playing. As @GreatRedDragon said the price is nice so going nuts on the pickups and guts is sensible. I used my e-lp as a pickup test bed since it's easy to get in there to wire it. I've had at least half a dozen pickups in there just experimenting.

My only real beef with the Edwards stuff is the Gotoh bridges. Mine both turned into buzzing rattle traps. The one on my ES got so bad it sounded like I was plugged into an acoustic fuzzbox when I was doing double stops unplugged. I replaced it with a tone pros a week or two ago and have been gtg since then.

I have 3 of their straps- they’re great!
Al Bane does some killer stuff as well

AF Designs makes great products. Ive got 2 / EDB & i had a western DB that i gave a friend.
Got mine years ago. Took a couple years of trying to get the eastern DB that they seem to no longer offer.

Good to know, I have a bit of rattle on high E and i wondered is it an action issue or something like the saddles starting to cause issues. It is a Gotoh as well to my knowledge.

You can disassemble it and silicon tape the screws and use a few drops of clear nail polish on the wire. That's what I did but it was a temporary fix. I replaced it with a standard tonepros abr-1 replacement with pre cut saddles but it wasn't a perfect fit, it's a little narrower but it still slid onto the posts and remained adjustable enough. It's definitely rattle free. Lemme know if you find a perfect replacement if you do.

these enchiladas i just scored would probably sound pretty good in that guitar:

I had jumbo ss frets installed on my 02 LP Classic.
Awesome upgrade.
Heck yeah I bet. I've come to love the jumbo SS frets on my Viper. Definitely planning on having my ES refretted with the same frets maybe next year when she's due.

Soldano/Caswell sighting in the wild! Nice
Sure is! Lovely piece of gear, had it for about seven years now and it's always in heavy rotation. You have one of these as well, don't you?
