Hello,
i need a better cab than my actually Mesa Recti 2x12. Peter says, it sounds not so good thru the VH4 and yeah it´s a little bit harsh and very hard.
It should be more smooth and fat...
Which cab would you prefer?
Primarily a 2x12!

Thanks

Generally speaking....

what kind of music are you playing?
What kind of sound do you want out of it?

The general consensus is that if you want a tighter and more focused sound, you go with one of the Diezel 2x12 Front load cabs.
If you want a more loser or rounder sound, a rear load.

Speakers are such a personal choice though. I have a very tight sounding Diezel 2x12FL with 1 Vintage 30 and 1 G12K-100 and it sounds amazing!
:)

You are on a Diezel forum so... a Diezel cab! :D

I'm in a similar situation as you, and some days ago I contacted Peter Stapfer for advice, and had great feedback from him. It depends in your music style, but he suggested me the G12K100s in a frontloaded cabinet for my VH4.

Maybe someone could give you some more feedback about Diezel cabs, but you can also use the search function, there are a lot of quite good threads talking about cabs!

Good luck on your search!

Get a DIEZEL CAB !!!! it was my best purchase along with Herbie. (frontloaded with V30, I love it)

I don't know why people think about something else.

Seriously, the cab was MADE to suit the amp. you just chose front or rear-loaded and the speakers... and call it a day.

Smooth and fat? swap the speakers in your Mesa for ToneTubby hempcones.

I ordered Diezel FL 4x12 with V30's for my VH4. The cab should arrive within 1-2 weeks.

I also considered Mills Acoustics Afterburner but it is no sence to order US product in EU and pay stupid extra duty costs and taxes IMO.

G12 K100 = smooth and fat.

Seriously, a Diezel cab with FT K100's or a Afterburner with the same speakers should be perfect for what you're after.

I know it's been said a hundred times but if you want a be all end all solution simply go for one of the Diezel cabs. I took this decision not too long ago, and I am absolutely happy with my purchase.
