AND as far as EVH tone chasing, even he (EVH) has it bad. I remember reading in a magazine somewhere that 5150 studio's equipment (ALL OF IT...console, monitors, tape machines, outboard gear, EMT plate etc...) were EXACTLY what VH1 were done on, and even he can't get there from here. He's got the hands though...
