Really..

well if your looking for early Van halen(78-81)in my opinion Rockstah Mod5(Mark Abrahamin) is the way to go.Since his death the amps that he made and modded are going for sick money I was offered $3500 for the amp Mark modded for me and a friend that owns one was offered $3k.
You should have taken the $3500. It is an easy mod that is well documented over at Metro. Mark's excellent VH-style playing and well thought out reverb setting are a large portion of what people hear in those clips he did.
Steve
Yeah man, even his Iphone clips were pretty good. He definetely had the touch.
This is Nitro's schtick. He's tried to go head to head with Dave F, John Suhr, Pete Thorn. It's just the same bullshit, but he's irritating someone else in this case (Steve). It's the same thing over and over. I agree it's the playing. I heard this guy named Terry Lauderdale (Hot for Teacher) do his VH stuff on a Mesa Mark III ( that's right, I wouldn't have believed it either) and it sounded pretty damn close.
And in my opinion, Phil sounded good on the BE video. Not really exact but close enough.
But that really wasn't what the thread was about until Nitro highjacked it (as usual). It was a comparison video between two amps.
