Is it my ears or the handheld but i hear a lot of hard clipping and a bit of fizz? Seems like a hard buzzy distortion. As Cameron modded it i feel comfortable in that i am not insulting anyone!

That would have straight in - no FX. Guitar was probably a Huber Orca with HB's.

I hear the same thing. It sounds like a fuzz is in the circuit, which dies out faster than the overall signal when you stop playing and allow the guitar to sustain and die out.

I found the first run CCVs had a similar tonality - one of the reasons I didn't particularly care for the CCV.

As for fizz, welcome to the world of Jose amps and clipping diodes. It's not a boutique amp. That fizz you hear though is my Dr. Pepper....
