I decided to bust out some of the decent recording stuff today out of boredom.
Did a little VH, and then 2 made up riffs that sound reminiscent of...stuff.
Guitar is my 72 Deluxe RI with custom PAFs. Only used the bridge pup.
Amps are a Cameron modded JCM800 (aldrich/jose? I dunno...) and the infamous Cameron modded Carlsbro 100.
I just kind of did a standard setting on the amps...nothing really hyped, nothing really cut. I should say, gain maxed, but every other knob had give either way.
Ran these through a Weber Minimass attenuator into my 4x10 loaded with Eminence Legend 10516s.
Close miked one speaker with a KSM27 and another with a SM57.
Ran an OCD on a couple takes as a boost...really very little gain.
Guitars are untouched. Oh, I didn't bust out my soundcraft so the pres are the ones that come with the Tascam FW1082.
Anyways, the top file is the "mix" I felt sounded best. Below is the link to the individual files if you want to hear what the amps sound like solo (files are self-descriptors).
