And trust me-there's shit that goes on here that you folks know nothing about. You don't have to like or agree with me...I'm fine with that...but by God members will adhere to what we ask or they can go somewhere else. If that does not work for anybody here-please feel free to contact any of the higher ups you want. And I'm going to be totally honest here....I'm not going to deal with any disrespect towards myself, Nik, or Tyler. So, fuck any practitioner of whatever that does not listen to what I just said. Got me? Seems to me if I just banned everyone that has tried destroying and dismantling this forum we would not be here right now.

I would like to say I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU JUST SAID. Sorry for yelling. :)

I know I'm in here with the shit talk too. But if you remember before 2016, we did not have this shit going on. This shit started with members constantly injecting polarizing political shit IN NEARLY EVERY THREAD on the main forum. And I know you know these were loud mouth Trumps supporters that started it every time.

The mods wanted to allow it under the guise of "protecting free speech", so here we are.

The problem is that a few sick loudmouths were constantly attacking anyone who didn't agree with them by posting:

* overtly homophobic/sexualised comments
* doctored/altered photos of members
* insane allegations regarding pedophilia, violence etc... etc...

Honestly, it brought the bar way down for Rig-Talk. It was gross. Anyone who behaves like this, whether Left, Centre or Right needs to go, ASAP.
The political spectrum exists the way it does for a reason, the Left needs the Right and vice versa. It's part of the machine. But to be an outright prick bordering on defaming people online with some of the comments that came out, man.

Considering how frequently low & often disgusting this area was a month ago
I figure it'd better be something damn near murder before bothering mods with it.

Someone starts going way south all the time they get taken out back and beaten
by the patrons first. They come back in still being a prick we tell the owners.

I've only ever reported 1 person and that's only because they signed up and made a profile that looked just like me and even used my name and started spewing shit I wouldn't say trying to make me look bad. Only reported them because I was worried their shit would get me banned.

Yeah I was joking. The bastard used my avatar and name. I couldn't figure it out, my exact name. Here's a screenshot I took at the time. Notice the lower case r compared to a real r like in my name.

The easiest way to clean up the children and alts posting Nazi shit is to institute a 1,000 post minimum for the OT section. Go back 6 months and apply it to all accounts. Watch how easy it become for the mods. After all, this is a music gear forum. If you’re not posting and contributing to the main purpose of the forum then why allow them. ?

The other solution is to just remove the OT section.

Of course none of this will happen because the added OT traffic helps generate income. ?
 
I realize I am probably in the minority and that the mods don't seem to agree (lots of soft people for the mods to cater to), but if you put any information or pictures up on a public forum about your personal life anywhere on the internet, its fair game!

Actually it may not be as fair game as you think. If someone post a picture It's still their property, unless they have given consent for others to use it.

Also there are laws that protect people from defamatory remarks.

Let me clarify...
Speaking for myself, if I put personal info up or personal pics up of myself or family etc. and I am an asshole to everyone, I wouldn't be surprised to see my "stuff" used against me.
IMO putting personal stuff on the internet makes it public and available as long as I don't profit from it.

I can say from being arrested and locked up enough times (not proud and do not reccomend) that I am not at all worried about calling someone a name or using their pic all the while being worried about getting into trouble.
Thats goofy and for the folks who have never been in trouble before.

Been thru the system enough to not worry about stupid shit and honestly know just how goofy it really is...

@JackBootedThug worked in the system for how many years?
Im sure he could tell many stories of how wonky the justice system is...

I don't expect people here to start suing one another. But it's not actually "legally" fair game. So I would at least respect someones wishes if they ask someone to stop using their photo. You could get sued.

If I was the owner of this site, I would not want the potential liability of OT

I'm speaking civil. Civil is a lot less concern, unless you have a lot to lose.
