Can I use movie dialog samples on my CD without license?

I sent my CD in to be mastered and I have some samples of dialog from movies in a few of the songs. One of the duplication houses said I can't have any unlicensed samples in my music but another source said that taking lines from movies is ok. Does anyone know the answer here?

since its not a demo cd yes you need to have copyright concent. no matter what you pull from the movies they own the rights and you cant use that for your own profit without their concent first.

i would also heed that depending on who it is might want a percentage rate of your profits (if its a CD your selling) but alot of it deals with legal rights as well as respect to the owners.

if it was media coverage then it wouldnt be a problem. personal use isnt a problem either. but once you go public you need to cover your tracks. (no pun intended)

Let me guess: It's something from a Quentin Tarantino movie or it's Al Pacino?

I'd like to sample Arnold going "aaaaaaaaarrrrggggggggg" from Conan The Barbarian and use it in a song.

No, it's something from the Bob and Doug McKenzie movie "Strange Brew" so I can sell tons of copies to people in Canada. You want one now RVS?

Already done: check out "Austrian Death Machine"
Well... I dunno if they used real clips, but it's still funny.

Best movie quote ever...
