Can it Chug? Friedman Little Sister vs Friedman JEL-20 vs Soldano Astro 20

I had somebody on the forums ask me if any of my amps can chug, I am not a metal guy, but I decided to give them a try.

I actually think I liked the Friedman Little Sister the best, it takes pedals so well.

I used the amps alone and also with a TS808 mini and a Boss SD-1.

Curious to see what you all think.

The Soldano is a cool amp, 4 footswitchable channels/galaxies.
It really does not need any pedals, plenty of gain from crunch to solo and nice cleans.

I was surprised to hear that I liked the DS more than the JEL. I've never tried a DS or TS, but I've always wanted to hear what the rave is all about. Someone said that amps "warts" and is more like a real Marshall.

Sorry but that's not chugging at least in terms of gain. Turn the gain up on one thing or another. Sounds good for rock tones but that's not "chugging".

I always say that I think the 20w Little Sister has the best tone out of all of my amps. I don't want a 40w Twin Sister, but I might contact Dave about building me a Custom two channel Little Sister with two identical channels, like a Twin Sister mini

I am not a Chug type player, wasn't sure what settings to use. I just left my usual setting and palm muted.

All 3 amps are great for what I do, playing lead.

Yeah, that’s what I thought.
Usually, it's the guys who don't practice anything else, because "chugging" is such a "chimp-like" loser technique.
Most "Chug" guitarists are "light in the loafers"

Yes, but monkeys throwing feces is entertaining.
Seriously, chugging is not my thing, but it still is a technique and requires skill.
I won't criticize people who like chugging, everybody has their own thing.
