Can someone explain the 8 ohms better than 16 ohms thing a bit?

16 to 8 flows more energy, more potential to red plate. 8 to 16 gets dangerous for arcing / flyback if you crank it too much.

So can I assume that the biggest risk, whether 8 to 16 or 16 to 8, is when amps are getting cranked? IE moderate/practice volumes aren't exacerbating a mismatch as much as a cranked amp?

I hate anything that "makes the amp warmer" whatever.. 16 into 16 as it was meant to be.

Ok, so which is harder on tubes?
Amp at 8ohm into 16 ohm cab… or amp at 16ohm into 8 ohm cab?

Definitely DO NOT do the high-low thing…16-8 ohm cab…that is not recommended
