Can't get good tones out of Boss GT100 in the loop either...

I was having less than stellar results in 4CM, and decided to try just effects only in the loop, but I have nothing. What am I doing wrong?? Whats proper way to connect through the loop?? I tried loop to loop, and have no volume.

I need to stick to pedals, I guess...

With the GT in the loop, connect the Amp Send -> GT Input, GT L/Mono Output -> Amp Return, adjust the Output Level knob to the right of the LCD displays. Don't use the GT-100's Send/Return input and output in this situation. Press the System button, check the volume levels in the following menus: Input, Global. Also select System button -> Output Select -> Stack Return. Also If you don't get anything out, check for a bad cable.
