Captor X Live Use Question. Need advise

Hey everyone. I have a captor x I use for live show use. I use a PRS Archon 50 (16 ohms) into a Fryette power station, into the red "speaker in" on the captor x. I then run a speaker cable from the "speaker out" to a cabinet (16 ohms) for low onstage volume and then run the left XLR output to our board for monitors and mains. Is there any problem with this setup? Has anyone done this and had success or issues? i did it last night and it seemed to work, but at one point my captor X was flashing red for clipping (but i think my phone just disconnected at the time). I just want to make sure this setup works and won't be damaging to any of my gear.

Thanks

Are you using power station just to fine tune the attenuation? Otherwise it seems unnecessary for this application.

Pretty much any amp I have over 5 watts has clipped the captor X on its high setting so be sure you are using the low sensitivity.

Aside from that, I’ve had a couple mystery red flashes that were solved simply by updating the unit with your laptop

i use the power station mainly as an attenuator/fine tune depth and presence, as well as for the effects loop. The loop on a PRS Archon is noisy, plus running a boost in my effects loop on the Fryette allows me to boost the level on my lead channel.

to confirm, the "low sensitivity" is the "full" setting on the attenuator correct? if so, then yes that's where i have it.

Any issues running to the cab and then the Left XLR to the board? it seemed to work good, i'm just confirming no issues. I've seen videos saying you can do this, but i don't see it in the quick start manual.

On the front of the unit there is a “high/low” button. Most amps will clip it if the button isn’t pushed in to low.

The attenuator setting on the back shouldn’t cause any clipping, adjusting it will just adjust the level coming out of the “speaker out” to your cab.

I haven had any issues running both an xlr out to a board and a speaker out to a cab

"I haven had any issues running both an xlr out to a board and a speaker out to a cab"
same here I use mine with my Splawn head at every gig.
