Captor X - pre purchase question

My question relates to the attenuation settings. My intention is to run the Captor X into my audio interface through studio monitors, so on that basis I assume the attenuation is irrelevant as I'll control the volume on my interface?

At some point in the future I may buy a cabinet for my amp head so I assume the attenuation on the Captor X can be used then for bedroom levels?

You can control your volume on Captor X. There is an output level knob you can adjust. Also you can control it by your audio interface.

The attenuation has two levels, one is -20db and the other is -38db, which is way huge. You can check out some youtube videos and the volume can just cover your guitar strings' vibration and picking noise. I haven't tested it yet since the sound from my monitors is great enough.
