Carbon Copy Affair...Over For Me

The TC Toneprint pedals mentioned in here are awesome. I bought the delay. Downloaded few tone prints and I have Pete Thorns in there right now. I liked the pedal so much, I ordered the flanger and chorus pedals. They are just a good. Haven't downloaded anything in them yet though. Hell, the preloaded one from TCE is perfect. I think I may just buy the whole series. They are very quiet and run really well in front of a driven amp without a hint of noise, tone suck and other crap. For the price, they are the best thing for a guitarist since the pick.

I might go back to a pedal.. if this works well in line level effex loops even better. I'm noticing some high end crispness suck from my TC G-Major 2.. when i crank the level on my MTS modules it redlines... seems rather finicky. The plus side is it removes any harshness from my speakers when playing loud and smooths everything out but sometimes i want that crunch back. I also find i essentially only use delays so what is the point of anything else.

Old reliable.

It won't get any ooh or ahhs on the gear boards but it works well.

I'd say try an AD-999, best analog I've heard, but damn it's expensive.

I've heard great things about the Flashback though, if you wanted to go the digital route.

I sold my DD-3 because it didn't play well in my effex loop... shoulda kept it. How good do these TC electronic pedal delays sound outfront in front of an amp?

I like the Tech 21 .give you a spillover ,a tap tempo .and a up to 9db boost

My delay that I use with my Mark IV...despite having a Carbon copy (that's for the Marshall).

Yup :D

Cost me £17 and it sounds great... 0_o

I havent tried the tc yet , I am interested in the mad proffessor delay , anyone have an opinion on which one ?

Before you put your money down, TRY the Strymon El Capistan.

I have a pedaltrain PT2 rigged up with all four Eventide "Factor" and Space pedals. That goes into the loop of whatever head I want to use at the time. TimeFactor is a mighty pedal and I love it for what it does.

I have another PT2 set up with effects i like in front of an amp, including the El Capistan. The Strymon El Capistan is the best delay I have ever tried in front of an amp. Sadly YouTube clips can't translate the bandwidth or warmth that this pedal can produce - you gotta grab one and try it. Expensive, but worth it. If I could have only one delay, this would be it.

Can you elaborate on why you do it this way? It just seems counter-intuitive to me seeing that the El Cap (which I run in my loop as well along with a DD5) would be more suited to being placed out front since that's the way a tape echo would normally be placed whereas a more standard DD is typically more suited to a loop.

I had this Behringer delay and it was so damn noisy :aww:

Expensive but awesome. I'll never need another delay.

Chrono 80's Delay, simillar to above chrono delay
and my favorite, damage control timeline. by far the best delay that exists. puts anything TC or eventide makes to shame. hard to find cheap though.

It's great with my Mark IV! I never stomp on it because I keep it behind my amp in the loop and just hit the "Loop" button on my footswitch. Not at all noisy :)

That's a pretty bold statement...have you personally tried the El Capistan, Brigadier, and Flashback?

yes no yes.

tube buffered does wonders for keeping that warm tone and no digital sterility or over-processed tonality that eventide's have to my ears.

i wouldnt say it without having something to back it up. i have researched delays for a very very long time and at the beginning and at the end i kept coming round-robin back to a timeline delay.

i would put one against an el-capistan and an eventide anyday.

DELAY FORUM CRED DEATHMATCH!!!!!!!!!!!

I like my El Cap, very very hip pedal.

It lives very well next to my eventide, tc, and roland rack stuff. No fights or forum battles from them.
