Thanks for the nice comment. Ya know, it's a hard balance to strike between "chill hang vibe" and "high quality audio demo." Every time I do a more chill video, people complain that there isn't all the audio production that is in some of my other videos. When I do one with all the audio production, everyone says they just want an iPhone video or they say, like you, that they enjoy my more "off the cuff" / "chill" videos. No one on the internet is ever happy! can't make the whole internet happy

Ah you're definitely right about that. There's no making the whole Internet happy lol

Like another guy said, just do your thing and make the videos you wanna make. I think the "chill hang" vibe just comes across in your personality, regardless if it's an iphone or not.
We can tell you're there cause you dig gear, not cause youre trying to sell me the hot new gadget that every other youtuber is demoing at the exact same time on the exact same day with the exact same script about how new and shiny and kewl it is

I have seen many of your videos in the past, but I thought I remembered you making a video where you put a bright cap into a Friedman BE? Am I confusing you with someone else?

Damnit. Why didn't I ask Dave to put in bright caps on my BE and HBE channels? I just sent him my amp late in 2025 and don't really want to send it again. It's only $38 to send it to him by shipping, but I'm more afraid of potential damage by shipping. My amp did get some small blemishes last time I mailed it to him.

Honestly, a bright cap mod is so minor that you could have it done by a local tech. Dave put a pretty tame cap on mine. I think he said it was 150pf. I would have personally preferred a little bit more. Maybe 500pf? Just don't put a 4700pf like an old Marshall, it will be far too bright. I tested it on the AxeFX and the result wasn't that great.

Oh, that's good to know. I was going to ask Dave to put a 4700 in there because that's what he uses in the Jose. If that's too bright, maybe something in between? Whatever Marshall uses in the DSL or JVM would probably work fine for me. I maybe could have Shea do it in Indiana as that would reduce the shipping duration, but not sure if he accepts Friedmans.

I remember watching your initial demonstration video you posted here of it along with the final official video on youtube and got excited when you mentioned it being your favorite Bogner and a keeper.

I'm gonna do a Q&A video coming up covering common questions I get on my videos. This is one of them.

So what actually happened is that I was laid off and was out of work for almost a year. I tried everything I could to not sell amps: sold almost all my guitars, sold unused pedals, raided my storage unit for speakers, cabs, etc... anything to not have to sell an amp. But then as the months went by, my savings dwindled and dwindled. My unemployment payments ran out. I had to cut into my 401k. Finally I just reached the point where I listed almost everything and was like "whatever sells, sells." The Snorkler was one of the first to get snatched up. It is what it is.

I'd like to get another one but I'm being a little patient since the market seems to be cooling. I've seen several sitting around at almost-new prices. So I'm just kind of hanging out waiting for the right one to fall into my lap. Still super jazzed about the amp itself. It's killer.
