Question for you:

how do those NINE tubes relate to each channel?

also,

is there any tubes that work wonders? (such as a tung sol in V1 in a mesa?)

thanks.

also any other cool info, settings, pics, clips are very welcome
 
I think, I'm the only guy on here with one so in the interests of keeping the crickets away:

Channel 1 is V1.A

Channel 2 is V1.B

Channel 3 are V2, V3, and V4.B

Channel 4 are V4.A, V5, V6, V7, V8, and V9

So tubes V1-V5 make the most difference when swapping.
 
hmm i didn't know they were that rare.

assuming i get it i'll have to feel out the channels before i go swapping tubes.
 
I have a friend who is selling one, but that is the only time I have ever heard, read, etc about one. Strangely I think he wanted the amp to be less smooth and have some more gain.

He is using SS GK amps now :thumbsdown:
