i have a Diagonal 2x12 with a CReamback H75 and V30 with a 1/3 open back (top) paired with my Splawn. I put the V30 as the "upper" speaker and its a little fatiguing after a while. Wondering if I should swap those spots or look at taking out the CB H75 and putting in a Celestion K-100 instead.

Any thoughts or experiences with these?

Thx!!

Oops, sorry. Basically, my Splawn sounds a bit harsh with the V30/CB H75 mixed. I swapped and put the H75 as the "top" speaker in my diagonal 2x12, but still a bit harsh.

The other component is that I leave the top 1/3 back open, because it really fills the room, but it's also probably accentuating those high mids and highs.

Maybe I need a warmer speaker, but do not know the right combination. I have the following speakers:

V30
Creamback H75
Celestion K-100
Scumback H55
Scumback Blackback H75 (this one can sound harsh at high volumes, very bright).

Any suggestions on the best combination?

Thanks!

I put 2 WGS ET65s in with 2 V30s in an X pattern, seemed to smooth things out a bit...less harsh. Not sure about your speaker choices though, haven't tried them.

V30s and K100s are great together. I have a front loaded warhead cab with this combo that I love.

I have a Avatar Vintage 4x12 with V30's and G12T75's in a X pattern. That is a very nice combination. It's like each speaker fills out the others frequency gaps, ya know? It's a very thick sounding cab and those t75's blend very well with v30's.

Out of what you got, I'd try H55 in the top, with the K100 in the bottom.
