Looks like it. If they're 65 watts, that's what they are. Marshall did that a lot in the late 70's, and early 80's Especially in their open back 2204/2203 combos.

I snatched a early-mid 70's Marshall 4x12 loaded with a set of '79 G12-65's... man i got it for only £200 and it sounds incredible!! Love that cab!

Also, the actual cab is very deep sounding when you knock on the back panel. It seems really resonant and big sounding regardless of the amp i plug into it!

What are the codes? I have 3 pair of 65s w/Marshall stickers. Yours should have "T3120" on the frames if they are 65s. The 65s with Rola stickers should have "T3054" printed on the frame.

I have these in my new Mojo 4x12 and they're pure tits.

I must be the only person who left that amp-fest nearly 100% happy with my current gear...

So do I! I'm getting a pretty smoking deal on it but because it's the golden 65's, it's still pretty expensive! The cab is one of the "tweed" grill, straight cabs.

I need another cab like I need a hole in the head, but my JMP has been very lonely not having its own, dedicated cab, so it's time.

My local amp tech has an 80's JCM800 4x12 cab that people have been trying to buy off of him for years. All anyone knows is that the thing sounds phenominal regardless of whats plugged into it. He never opened it, so we assumed that it was either full of Greenbacks or V30's. Well he finally let me open it a few months back and what lay before me was a quad of original G12-65's.

So that makes TWO magical 65 cabs.
