not a true jose mod (at least not the classic schematic that's on internet)
that would require an extra tube
probably just the cascaded bright input with replicated values for the first stages (which usually sounds awesome, by the way), 2 gain pots (like a Laney), switchable bright caps and depth control
I have no idea what the "Era" control does, though
probably a switchable Jose master/"saturation switch" with diodes or maybe a cathode cap boost for the third stage or a mid shift for the first stage cathode or the tonestack (lot of assumptions here)
sounds quite promising

now that's its greatest feature:
External Bias Jacks (Make it easy to check and adjust bias) Individual Bias Pot (Now it's possible to use those mismatched tubes you have stashed under the bed!) TONE! TONE! TONE!

I wish every amp had that

Kinda pricey for a Jose modded Marshall head.
Where did you see the price? Because I'm kinda interested...

Awesome price! I want to hear one. So, dumb question but what does "passive effects loop" mean exactly??

just a pre out/power in
no tube or transistor buffering for the send and no gain recovery stage for the return

Passive loop is just a break in the signal between pre and power
Original JOSE did not always add a tube.
jose never used paint or goop thats 2nd generation stuff

only the cascaded bright input then?

Man make it a 100 and I'd be down. No 50s for me says the peanut gallery. Nik's 100 watt plexi is sick..

Jerry, so the loop would either be hit or miss...right? Anyway could you get around this with say a Suhr minimix or something. How much would a send/level return be or would that completely alter the signal. I'm thinking it would since it's just a break in the signal. Hope that wasn't too stupid a question.

e-mailed Nik asking a few things

here's his answer about the clips and amps features:
"Yes, it is (available) but clips will be in 1-2 weeks.

It's indeed Jose mod.

ERA selects a few flavors on the master.

Focus is just a tone option, to make it more middy and less bassy, and
reduce the saturation a bit."
