not a true jose mod (at least not the classic schematic that's on internet)
that would require an extra tube
probably just the cascaded bright input with replicated values for the first stages (which usually sounds awesome, by the way), 2 gain pots (like a Laney), switchable bright caps and depth control
I have no idea what the "Era" control does, though
probably a switchable Jose master/"saturation switch" with diodes or maybe a cathode cap boost for the third stage or a mid shift for the first stage cathode or the tonestack (lot of assumptions here)
sounds quite promising

Passive loop is just a break in the signal between pre and power

Jerry, so the loop would either be hit or miss...right? Anyway could you get around this with say a Suhr minimix or something. How much would a send/level return be or would that completely alter the signal. I'm thinking it would since it's just a break in the signal.
