Man....that is bizzare looking Anyhow, back to the original topic....I just bought one. Ive bought from Nik before and I will again. I dont really feel he's taking money out of anyone's pocket. Marks stuff is Marks stuff. If Mark could have a CCV built for me in 5 weeks, I would have ordered one. Im done buying amps for now......

You hope...............!!! You can copy all you want but in the end you can't "borrow" someones ears. I have found large differences in the sound of just caps which are the same values but from different manufacturers. In the end , an amp is not just a design but also the sum of its parts. I had the Ceriatone Overtone Special and while it was a pretty good sounding amp, it hit the road not long after I got it.

Well....Isnt this why we all buy and sell amps? You try it out and if its not what you thought it was...or what you want, you move on. Its not a big deal to me. If this was my last $1150.00 in my bank account, and I didnt already have a pretty good collection of killer amps, maybe id be worried. As it is, im just looking forward to it as something different I havent tried.

yeah,but Dave if it's a real good Cameron rip-off "tone",for $1200,isnt that a good thing though? (at least for us)

Well it's not good for Dave, if it proves to be true, since people could post clips that sound as good as the clips he posts in his shorts of those coveted Cameron's. Not to mention it would drop the value of his amps. Viva la capitalism!

He's put up some pics of the amp out of the headcase. It has only 3 preamp tubes so you know it's the cascaded gain thing and it has a solid state loop. At that price it's still interesting though. I'd love to hear it.

I doubt it has a solid state loop...probably just the Dumble style loop he uses in most of his clones. I have one of his and they are nice, but I ended up taking the loop out. I hope I'm wrong because those pretty much suck. It's kinda odd that he doesn't post a layout of it considering he has layouts of all the other amps he cloned. I guess it's OK to post layouts of everyone else's stuff, but not his own. Hmmm.
