Not just these guys but all amp builders, the first thing they should be doing is putting high quality clips of their product on their web-site - but most of them can't seem to do it. Then you end up with you tube clips that may or may not be a good representation of the amp. Seems to me a smart businessman would take control of the way his amp gets presented.

yup but a kicker with that is you have to have a player that can bring out the true beauty of the amp.
i've seen decent quality clips with lackluster players but that's still gobs better than kindergarden pluckers with distorted cameraphone mics from across the room. you may as well set the builder's shop on fire.

I agree, nothing like a demo of a multi-channel amp with the lead channel welded on with +30db of stompbox in front for a well rounded view of the amp.

In the end though I would take your word and several others over any clip and so far that method has worked FAR better than listening to clips.

I had those...and the patches too! Even worse, aside from the horrible blue ones, I had a pair of green ones and a pair of maroon ones...hideous!

Chardon brings back bad memories as well. I wanted a pair of Jordache in 8th grade (piss off...they were cool then ;) )...you can guess the rest of the story :aww:

Here in the northeast Vanderbuilt was the choice to showcase asses.

I would rather hear average playing hitting basic chords/simple lines so I'm not distracted by flashy playing/technique personally.

That's one of the biggest scams makers use to sell amps, people hear the killer playing and think "I'll sound just like that!!!" but (some) have trouble separating the skillful playing from the tone because it's so interconnected.

Then they get the amp and realize they don't have the same chops, lol.

I get your point Kurt....but like I said earlier, Marks stuff just isnt available to the average player. Im not sure how youve gotten all the CCV's, but if I could shell out 3k, and have an amp here in 5 weeks...sign me up. Ill do it right now. But I dont beleive thats possible.

Post subject: Re: Ceriatone chupacabra 50 amp

So did all you guys order 50w or 100w heads?
I got the 50 watter. I just bought a 71 Marshall cab with pre-rola transition speakers that I plan on using with this amp, and Im a bit leary of using a 100 watt amp with that cab. Im good with the 50 watters, ive always gravitated towards them anyhow.

Yup, built in patches at the knees and they were guaranteed not to rip. Well little digi jammie was a spaz and blew threw the knees so my mother went to get another pair and was refused as she was the first one in that store to have a pair destroyed

Mailman beat me to plain pockets. Had to edit my post. Damn, I'm old.

Wow, I haven't visited this thread in a while. Gotten a lot more interesting.

Oh, and what's wrong with a solid state loop? My Metro Zero loss sounds awesome. Freiman and Suhr use solid state as well.
