Dude I have seen wedding pictures come out shittier than some of the amp glamour shots post here and other sites

Lighting, filters, etc........................and not one clip

Not just these guys but all amp builders, the first thing they should be doing is putting high quality clips of their product on their web-site - but most of them can't seem to do it. Then you end up with you tube clips that may or may not be a good representation of the amp. Seems to me a smart businessman would take control of the way his amp gets presented.

Yes its not even hard to do, just mic the amp one afternoon and thats it! We don't expect studio grade material but not the crappy youtube videos either...

A lot of you guys missed the point. I specifically mentioned Cameron... what if Fortin or Friedman were being ripped off? How about JerryP or Voodoo? All of these builders have contributed to our music through amps and modding. When will Ceriatone stop? After all of the people mentioned above give up after being sick and tired of their original creations being ripped off for someone elses profit? Just MHO ;)

When it becomes painful to Ceriatone?? It is blatant theivery to rip off designs/engineering work/reputation. It is hardly the 'metal' thing to do to overcharge for a botique amp, but it is just criminally wrong to rip it off. The issue I am seeing is the 1/3 the cost price tag gets people to go over to the dark side.

Will the botique builders consider a 90% as good but 70% of the price line? That last little bit of perfection usually comes at a significant cost ratio. If there was a Cameron Express model that was authentic and somewhat stripped down, but $2199, I think that would cut into the homegrown market. There has to be a marketing strategy that will cut into Ceriatone. I would happily pay a mid point price to get the stripped down version of the real thing. Maybe from a 5 trick pony to a 2 trick pony....

Just asking, not being critical of botique builders. I don't mind spending 3K for a good amp. Amps are really cheap toys compared to Harleys. One loaded Heritage Softail is about 10 CCV's. I do find something wrong with ripping off designs. Bugera lives to rip off. And then there is the Axe FX, a collection of digital rip offs.... Water is muddy. If you rip off a tone from a digital method it is ok. If the Axe ever gets 'perfected', it will kill off tube amps completely as their dark shadow spreads across the metal kingdom...... one modeler to rule them all..... as Frodo carries the Axe to Mordor..... must destroy the Axe.....

toughskins, i think. Mom finally figured out how to put knee patches on the inside of my pants so not to be so obvious.

ordered 50 watter 10/12/10....

I seriously have a pair

WTF! I haven't checked this post in a few days, I come back to 1 full page of painfull Jeans memories and Chuck Norris spread eagle! Oh and let's not forget the unauthorized photo of Barzini's ass in a pair of jordache! This amp better sound good enough to warrant this level jackassery.

FWIW - Played a ton of modded Marshalls, how much different or better can this really be? Maybe I'll eat my words but holy shit the Friedman stuff put an end to my Marshall gas, I can't see a clone being much better. Cheaper..yes.

A clip from the Ceriatone site.

Thanks for the clip.

Is it just me? That doesn't blow me away. Stock Marshall pushed gets you to the same place for the same price. Is there more I'm not hearing? I'm not getting the hype, honestly not trying to be a dick.

That's the best of the 3 clips. The other 2 sounded real crappy.

I'm not feeling it from the clip. It sounds OK, but not blow your mind awesome....

I dont anticipate this being any better that some of the amps I already have. I have a Friedman amp and love it....Peacemaker...love it, Coyote, love it, Modded 73SL...I could go on...I just love buying and playing different amps. All the amps I own...while in the same vein, all have something unique to offer.

I've said this a thousand times..... you can't go by the clips. ;) Wait till Art gets his and then we'll know.
