Ceriatone, what are your thoughts?

I had a Chupacabra. Awesome amp. I will either buy or build a Yeti at some point. As far as tones go, the Chupa is tied for my all-time favorite amps I've owned.

which one dials in the cameron ccm vibe?
I think he cloned the CCV, and its the King Kong.
How differently are the KK and the Yeti voiced? I've heard very differently and I've also heard that the KK is basically a two channel Yeti. :confused:

Really? Didn't know that at all. I would love to have an amp that's close to the CCV.

I got to try a used Chup at a GC and it sounded tits. Very versatile and I almost bought it. (Already have the modded Marshall thing covered)

Not sure how 'close' it actually is..not to critique but I've played a Ceriatone Jubilee and its very different to me than any of the 4 Jubilees I've owned. Its a decent Marshally amp but it lacked something. Same with the AFD Ceriatone. Different than the original. But still a good amp.

Isn't the king kong just a chupa with a separate clean channel? and new design black headshell.

No. It's more on-line with the Yeti, but still different. Based off the CCV.

That's due to parts and transformers. The build from a schematic stand point is a clone, more or less. What you're hearing is most likely due to component make up. That and break in.

The only 2 things I have heard bad about Ceriatone , is that that they are imported (that may bother you or not) and some people say that the effects loops are tone suckers (some people say they are not )

The loops are not very good. That is true. They are just passive insert loops. Not tube buffered. Installing a Metro Loop would be ideal.

Wasn't an issue for me though. I just run one, single delay pedal in the loops of my amps. And if the pedal is buffered, it's a non-issue.

Man... all this talk. Someone buy my Peters GNL so I can build a Yeti!

I have had a Ceritone Yeti for close to two years now. It has pretty much stopped my modded Marshall gas dead in its tracks. I paid for the capacitor upgrade, but mine still has the stock transformers and at this point I do not see any reason to change them. I just recently dropped a set of JJ E34L's into it and have really enjoyed them! Before this I have had a few modded JCM 800's, two Splawn quickrods, a Splawn Nitro, and a Splawn modded Marshall Plexi.

What are the differences in the Chupa and Yeti ?

Chupa = Brighter and looser.
Yeti = Darker and tighter. And cleans up better.
