OMG that tan one and the bulls eye :inlove: . I am still thankful to Racerxrated for selling me his reissue. One of the best if not THE best guitar I have ever played. Love certain Charvels. I did not read the link but if these 80's Charvels are custom shop they will absolutely be stellar. WANT!!!

Edit: I could not resist I just had to click on the link and wish that I had not. Sure enough these are custom shop and now my stomach hurts.

You’re welcome!

As good as that one is, my ‘keeper’ is an 09 USA Plum SoCal that has outplayed everything including 2 customs, one from Psychodave who knows his Charvels. When you get a magical one, never let go.

I am still working on getting my setup as good as yours was since I dropped the tuning a bit but I cannot imagine how good your USA is if it is that much better than the reissue.

Some guitars just play so easy, effortless..the Plum is one of those. Yours is a good one, not stiff like the 06 Copperhead I had, but not at the same level. I had a candy blue USA SD that was also magic but I sold it thinking I’d find another. Took 3 yrs but I finally did.

VERY cool! I think I’ll probably just admire from afar though, since they’re limited AND Custom Shop. Awesome that they’re bringing back the iconic stuff though!

I thank Racerxrated for most of my Charvels. Great seller and guy

I gotta suhr antique classic recently... i am just womdering will these charvels is as good as suhr in terms of playability ? I bump into an all black charvel custom shop and in my opinion its another call for me for a NGD... but i hold back till now thinking if charvel these days is good to go? Sorry to mess with many charvel guys here... but am also one of you here who wanna own a good playable charvel just as good as suhr classic or even better :)

Suhrs are fantastic as well...you can order them with the Charvel neck profile. It's just preference...The Suhrs I've played did not have the Charvel neck profile, so I'd take the Charvel Custom over those of course. I'd have to play a Suhr with the same neck as a Charvel and see...they both use the best woods and the Charvel customs are built by the same guys who built them in the early 80s. Suhrs seem more 'blingy' than Charvel customs, the the 2 Suhrs I played I'd be afraid to ding up at a gig. Charvel, grab it plug and play.

Yes it was. Craig(cecilbag) bought that one from me. As great as it was, my 09 Plum outplays it. Some of those 08-09s are really special.

Whats the specs on a charvel neck amybody care to share? I like the suhr classic with some modernity on it... an even C with a 0.830 at 1st ...
